Born on December 6, 1979, in Briarcliff, Glenolden, a Philadelphia suburb, Stephenie Danielle LaGrossa grew up as the youngest and only girl among five siblings. Her parents, Stephen and Marguerite, provided a nurturing environment that fostered her athletic and academic aspirations. As of today, Stephenie has been married to Kyle Kendrick since November 13, 2010, and now has three children.

After graduating from Archbishop Prendergast High School, where she excelled in lacrosse, field hockey, and swimming, Stephenie attended Temple University before transferring to Monmouth University. While at Monmouth, she played Division One Lacrosse and was a four-year starter.

She received her Bachelor of Science degree in business administration, specializing in marketing and management. Currently, she works as a territory sales representative for a pharmaceutical company and also bartends part-time.

Survivor: Palau

Stephenie’s first appearance on the show was in season 10 in Palau which premiered in November 2004, where she was chosen for the Ulong tribe. She made a memorable start in the show by jumping off the boat early in an attempt to win an Immunity Necklace, though it backfired, leaving her last to reach the beach.

Her athletic skills led to an early pick by Bobby Jon Drinkard for the Ulong tribe. Despite her strong performance, Ulong suffered continuous losses, leading to the strategic elimination of tribe members.

After a series of losses, Stephenie found herself as the last remaining Ulong member, subsequently joining the Koror tribe. Although she faced challenges as an outsider, she remained competitive. She was voted out unanimously, becoming the third member of the jury. At the Final Tribal Council, she voted for Tom Westman, who won the season.

Survivor: Guatemala

Survivor: Guatemala premiered in June 2005 with Stephenie starting on the Yaxhá tribe, which initially faced a losing streak. However, Yaxhá won the next Immunity Challenge, and Stephenie bonded with Rafe Judkins and Jamie Newton. A tribe switch moved them to Nakúm, where she and Jamie convinced Judd Sergeant to flip and vote out Brooke Struck.

Nakúm continued to win immunity, only eliminating Margaret Bobonich due to a double Tribal Council twist. In the merge, Stephenie's alliance had the numbers to vote out Brandon Bellinger and Bobby Jon Drinkard, despite Gary Hogeboom's Hidden Immunity Idol play. Rafe's plan to blindside Jamie led Stephenie to reluctantly agree.

The alliance then targeted Gary and Danni Boatwright. Despite a promise to Judd's wife, Stephenie voted out Judd after Danni won immunity. Cindy was next to go. At the final four, Stephenie voted out Lydia with Rafe. Danni won final immunity and chose Stephenie for the Final Two, where she finished as runner-up, receiving only Rafe's vote.

Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains

Stephenie's third and final outing on the show was in season 20, subtitled Heroes vs. Villains. This installment commemorated the show's 10th anniversary and premiered in August 2009. She was placed on the Heroes tribe despite her more villainous gameplay in Guatemala, largely due to her underdog persona from Palau.

Early in the game, Stephenie dislocated her shoulder but continued to participate in challenges. Her time on the Heroes tribe was marked by conflicts, especially with James Clement. James's frustration with Stephenie culminated in blaming her for the tribe's performance issues, referencing her history with Ulong.

Despite being defended by her allies Colby Donaldson and Tom Westman, Stephenie was voted out as one of the early casualties due to her perceived threat level and rivalry with James.
