Season 26 of The Voice aired its latest episode on Monday, November 4, 2024, featuring the fifth and final round of the Battles. Two contestants from each team competed against each other in a face-off, singing the same song chosen by their coach.
At the end of each performance, coaches picked one from the matchup to advance to the following rounds of the competition, ending the other's journey on the show.
The remaining coaches each had two Steals, which they used to scout the eliminated singers for their teams, helping the contestants stay in the running. However, not every artist had the privilege of being stolen and was eventually eliminated.
Night 5 of the Battles also bid farewell to multiple singers who failed to make it to the Knockouts round of the competitive reality show.
The Voice typically airs at 8 pm ET on Mondays and Tuesdays on NBC. However, the network will not air The Voice on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, because it will dedicate its schedule to covering the US presidential election. The show will return with a new episode on Monday, November 11, 2024, at its usual time, and premiere the first round of the Knockouts.
What to expect from The Voice season 26 Knockouts?
Fans of the show will have to wait until next week for the first round of the Knockouts to air. In the Knockouts, one artist has to face off two of their team members at the same time. Unlike the Battles, the artists will have the liberty to choose their solo song, which they will perform while the other two competitors watch from the sidelines, waiting for their turn.
At the end of each performance, the coaches will choose one winner to advance to the playoffs and send the other two packing.
For the Knockouts, two "mega mentors" are set to join the NBC reality show, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Sting and EGOT winner Jennifer Hudson. While Sting will be an advisor to Snoop Dogg and Gwen Stefani's teams, Jennifer Hudson will mentor Reba McEntire and Michael Buble's teams.
Season 26 will be Sting's first time in a mentorship role whereas Hudson, who has previously served as a coach, will mark her first return since her appearance in Season 15. Together they will guide the singers and help them perform to their full potential by lending them their years of experience and knowledge.
