Darci Lynne Farmer first appeared on the TV show Little Big Shots in 2016. Following this, she won America’s Got Talent in 2017 with her ventriloquism singing at the age of 12. Since then, she has worked in the music, television, and film industries.

The America’s Got Talent winner wrote this song with Shane Henry and Maggie McClure. She previously collaborated with the two songwriters on her debut single, Push Our Luck, which was released in February 2024.

Darci Lynne Farmer's career after America’s Got Talent
After being crowned the youngest America’s Got Talent winner in 2017, Darci could either do a Vegas residency or perform on her own tour. She and her parents decided that touring would be a better option for her, and the singer went on the Darci Lynne and Friends Live tour in 2018.
Touring was indeed a better option for the Oklahoma native, as demand for her show tickets was very high. She aimed to visit as many places as possible to introduce ventriloquism to the people. In an interview with The Oklahoman on May 10, 2019, Darci shared that she could fulfill her goal with the tours she had. She was able to inspire many kids, and they introduced their puppets to her.
“Going on ‘AGT,’ I just really wanted to inspire other to try ventriloquism because it’s such an old art. I wanted other people to try it, and I ended up meeting that goal – because these tours and these kids are living proof of that,” she said.
The 19-year-old singer also starred in her own Christmas special in 2018 called Darci Lynne: My Hometown Christmas, which she filmed at her local church.
Darci made her movie debut in 2022 with the musical drama A Cowgirl's Song. She played the role of Brooke, an injured barrel racer who wanted to return to the rodeo. The movie was filled with music, so she wanted to participate in the project.
Darci Lynne was credited as one of the co-writers for the movie's song "Just Breathe," and she also starred in the music video for the track. Darci will star in another movie, Reagan, alongside Dennis Quaid and Penelope Ann Miller.
