Alex Sampson was a fan favorite to win season 18 of America’s Got Talent (AGT). He made it to the semi-finals and performed his original song Wallflower, receiving a standing ovation from AGT judge Howie Mandel. Unfortunately, he did not receive enough votes and was eliminated from the competition before the finals.

Sampson's latest post on Instagram was a collaboration post with Offline magazine. The publication shared that he was the cover of their autumn issue. The post promoted his brand new EP titled Hopeless Romantic.
The AGT contestant has pinned three posts on his Instagram account dedicated to his upcoming EP. The first post, dated August 16, announces the EP. In the caption, he shared that this was the first time he had written a project entirely on his own.
"I’m so thrilled to announce that my sophomore EP, ‘Hopeless Romantic’ will be yours within the next two months. This is the first time I’ve sat down and written a project top to bottom. I’ve put my entire heart into this and I could not be more proud of how it turned out."
Furthermore, in the caption, the 20-year-old artist expressed his love for music. He explained how music tells stories, evokes emotions, and influences people's everyday lives.
