The Great American Recipe is a cooking competition that focuses on how food culture develops connections between people. Alongside the show host, judges Tiffany Derry, Graham Elliot, Leah Cohen, Tim Hollingsworth, and Francis Lam Alejandra Ramos return for the third season.
As per the official PBS website, the upcoming season 3 is set to release on June 17, 2024, and will continue till August 12, 2024, every Monday. The official synopsis reads:
"The Great American Recipe celebrates the stories and recipes of eight talented home cooks. Back in September 2021, the makers of The Great American Recipe season 1 chose Mattaponi Springs Golf Club in Caroline County, Virginia, as the prime location. At this venue, contestants were provided with a high-functioning kitchen with all facilities. They were required to bring the taste of rural Virginia into their dishes while honoring the Ruther Glen community's efforts.
Due to the infrastructure of the golf club combined with the natural scenic beauty, Ruther Glen served as the perfect setting for the first and second installment both. However, the location was later changed for the season 2 finale and it was shot at the Dosey Doe The Big Barn. It was situated near the Greater Houston area in The Woodlands, Texas.
This venue added a more artistic and musical twist to the competition, inspiring contestants to incorporate the vintage home-like feeling into their recipes.
In The Great American Recipe season 3, viewers will get to see the 7007 River Road Pike in Nashville, which is known for its beautiful views and pleasing sunsets. Moreover, the Green Door Gourmet in Nashville, Tennessee is recognized for its agricultural essence and famous farmer's market, thus offering organic fruits and vegetables for the contestants.
