The Traitors UK Season 3 premiered on January 1, 2025, on BBC One, with Claudia Winkleman returning as host. This season began with 25 contestants, and three were secretly selected as the original traitors:

  • Armani, a 27-year-old financial investigator from Essex
  • Linda, a 70-year-old retired opera singer from Hertfordshire
  • Minah, a 29-year-old call center manager from Liverpool

The series is a psychological reality game show where contestants must uncover and banish the traitors before they get eliminated through nightly "murders." If a traitor reaches the end of the game, they take home the prize pot.

Their objective is to deceive the faithful contestants and eliminate them one by one while avoiding suspicion. In the first two episodes, the traitors successfully carried out two murders and survived two roundtable banishments without being exposed.

Below is a detailed look at their actions so far.

The Traitors’ actions in Episodes 1 & 2

Episode 1: First murder

After being chosen by Claudia Winkleman, Armani, Linda and Minah held their first secret meeting, planning a "murder". Their first target was Yin, a communication scientist, who became the first murder victim of the season. The traitors believed her elimination would not immediately raise suspicion and would allow them to observe the reactions of the group.

Yin’s murder was revealed to the contestants the next morning, shocking the faithful players. At the first roundtable, the contestants discussed their suspicions, but no traitors were eliminated.

Episode 2: Banishing the wrong players & second murder

The first roundtable banishment took place, with contestants debating who might be a traitor. The vote was close between Nathan, a 39-year-old property consultant from London, and traitor Linda. However, Nathan was ultimately voted out. When he revealed that he was a faithful, it was a major win for Linda.

Later that night, they gathered again and chose to murder Keith, a 65-year-old window cleaner from Bournemouth. Their decision was strategic—they believed Keith’s elimination would shock the group and cause emotional distress among the remaining players.

The episode ended with another banishment, where Elen, a translator from Cardiff, was voted out. Like Nathan, Elen was also a faithful, meaning the traitors remained undetected for another round.

Other key information about Season 3

This season of the show features 25 contestants, with a diverse mix of backgrounds, including a former British diplomat, a clergyman, a beautician, a British Army soldier, and a landscaper.

A few key format changes have been introduced this year:

More contestants – Previous seasons had 22 players, while this season started with 25.

New deception strategies – One contestant is maintaining a fake Welsh accent to confuse others.

Siblings playing together – Two sisters are competing, but their relationship is known to the group.

Host Claudia Winkleman revealed that the selection of traitors was a group decision made by the casting team rather than her alone. She also hinted that there could be more female traitors this season, unlike previous years when most were men. She stated in a discussion with BBC News on January 2:

"When they turn up, they assume they know the way the game is going to go, and it is our job to explain that it isn't."

The Traitors UK Season 3 continues every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday at 9:00 PM GMT on BBC One, with episodes available for streaming on BBC iPlayer.
