Outlast, a Netflix original, premiered its first season on March 10, 2023, with 16 cast members. Netflix announced the second season in May 2023, and finally, the show is all set to kick off its second season on September 4, 2024, with the release of 6 out of 8 episodes. The reality show chronicles the survival journey of these 16 contestants in the wilderness of Alaskan jungles with bare minimum resources, each in one of four teams.
