The episode began with the conclusion of the previous week’s cliffhanger, where four players—Anna, Alexander, Leon, and Fozia—competed in a tense card game known as the "death match." Ultimately, Leon secured safety with the life card, leaving Fozia to be eliminated. Later, Linda faced overwhelming suspicion at the roundtable, resulting in her banishment.
Murder and banishment in The Traitors UK season 3 episode 7
The elimination process on The Traitors UK began with traitors Minah and Linda selecting four players—Anna, Alexander, Leon, and Fozia—to participate in the "death match." The chosen contestants engaged in a card game where one person would hold the life-saving card each round, gradually narrowing the group until one person was left without protection.
Anna and Alexander secured their safety early in the game, leaving Leon and Fozia to battle for survival in the final round. As the last draw concluded, Leon held the "life card," resulting in Fozia’s elimination. This marked the first time in the series that a player was eliminated face-to-face, with traitors Minah and Linda personally delivering the letter confirming Fozia’s "murder."
In addition to Fozia’s elimination, Episode 7 also saw traitor Linda banished during the roundtable discussion. Despite defending herself effectively, Linda received seven votes from her fellow contestants, leading to her exit. Upon her exit, Linda expressed gratitude for the experience, saying:
“Guys, I’ve had the most amazing time. This has been the pinnacle of my life and to experience this at my age and get this far, I’ve had a whale of a time, so, thanks for it. I am... a TRAITOR!”
Fozia’s journey and strategy
According to her pre-show BBC interview, Fozia is a 50-year-old community development manager from Birmingham, who brought a mix of strategy, charisma, and competitive spirit to The Traitors UK Season 3. Known for her vibrant personality and orange headscarf, Fozia approached the game with a clear plan to build alliances while maintaining a strategic mindset.
She envisioned herself as Faithful, intending to leverage her people skills to form connections and influence the group. Fozia believed her life experience and ability to adapt across cultural and social settings would help her navigate the complexities of the game.
"I'll get on with people on different levels as well and I feel I've got quite a bit of life experience and things that I might share culturally, you know," she said.
At the same time, she kept an open mind about the possibility of being assigned the role of a Traitor, embracing the challenge of deception if needed. In her interview, Fozia highlighted her love for the show’s psychological and strategic aspects, describing it as unlike any other competition.
Linda’s game strategy and motivation
As per her pre-show BBC interview, Linda a retired opera singer from Hertfordshire, brought a unique perspective to The Traitors UK. At 70, she aimed to leverage her life experience, intuition, and humor to navigate the game. She described herself as having a strong poker face and the ability to convincingly tell untruths.
Linda revealed a deliberate strategy to play up her age and airheadedness while positioning herself as a maternal figure to gain trust. She also emphasized the importance of flexibility.
"You have to be prepared to be flexible and to change depending on the people who are around you," Linda said.
Her experience watching previous seasons informed her plan, as she admired Harry’s calculated game that led to his victory. While she admitted to feeling apprehensive about the physical challenges in the missions, Linda was prepared to contribute what she could and use her wit to her advantage.
