Catherine opens up about her adoption on Love is Blind UK episode 2
In Love is Blind UK episode 2, Catherine got teary-eyed opening up about how she had to deal with figuring out her identity and purpose. Most of it was rooted in her not knowing what she looked like when she compared herself with other families. Catherine further shared:
"And I always see families and I see what they look like. And I never really knew what I looked like."
The Love is Blind UK cast member further explained how being adopted was perceived negatively by the guys she used to date. Men considered her as someone with "baggage" or a person who was too "sensitive" which is why she struggled to date.
Catherine mentioned she was looking for a partner with whom she could share her feelings and what had happened in her past. During her confessional interview in episode 2, she got emotional while stating:
"When I was younger like, I'd be always be the kid that was adopted. Men always find me sensitive or they will find that I come with baggage because of the adoption."
She further continued:
"But if somebody understands 'this girl's adopted, that's why she thinks like that' it will make my connection with that guy stronger. And I can open up to them about it, which I haven't done before."
Freddie appreciated Catherine for feeling comfortable revealing something she struggled with as a kid. He told her that he would always be looking forward to meeting Catherine in the pods. Catherine also felt an instant genuine connection with Freddie moving him to the top of her list.
Freddie reassured her that he was only on the show to find someone to spend the rest of his life with, he didn't want to play any games.
