The much-awaited season 18 of The Real Housewives of Orange County aka RHOC premiered on Thursday, July 11. During the episode, Tamra Judge spoke about her relationship with her estranged daughter, Sidney Barney.
Tamra had her with her ex-husband Simon, and Sidney chose her father's side at the time of their divorce in 2011, according to what she said in episode 1. During the installment, Tamra shared that Sidney worked in the film industry.
"She’s very successful, she’s in the film industry, as well, behind the camera. So she’s doing amazing things with her life, and that’s all I can really wish for," she said.

During Thursday's episode, Tamra told her other daughter Sophia that whenever she saw the angel number 111, she wished for Sidney to come back to her. The episode also saw her getting the number tattooed on her arm.
In a confessional on season 18, Tamra revealed that she was very close to Sidney and Sophia. However, while she could tell Sophia she loved her all the time, she was sad that she couldn't express the same to Sidney.
"Unfortunately, Sidney’s on Simon’s side. She doesn’t really speak to any of us. It’s difficult. It’s like your child’s dead, but they’re still alive," she added.
On Thursday's episode, Tamra shared that Sidney was doing well and that was all she could ask for as a mom. She added that she wished Sidney would reunite with her, but said that she had left things to God and his timing.
Tamra earlier shared news about her estranged daughter with Andy Cohen during the RHOC season 11 reunion episode. At the time, she shared what Sidney had told her and said:
"My oldest daughter, Sidney, said, ‘I don’t want to live with you anymore. You’ve ruined my dad’s life'."
She said her daughter hasn't looked back ever since and hasn't returned.
RHOC season 18 episode 1 recap
Episode 1 of season 18 saw most of the cast members distancing themselves from Shannon, following her DUI. Gina said she didn’t feel empathetic towards her because Shannon called her out on her DUI for years.
The premiere episode of the show also saw Heather bringing Alexis back to the group because the latter had lost her mother earlier that year and Heather thought she needed friends. At the luncheon with other RHOC ladies, Alexis revealed the nickname of her new partner. She said he was called Johnny J. Hearing this, Heather quipped:
“I don’t think I have heard a better rebrand since Mayo went to Aioli.”
Shannon was seen going to her lawyer’s office, as the cameras captured her lawyer giving her some advice on how to deal with the DUI. After the appointment, she saw Gina, and the moment they met, Shannon apologized, saying she was sorry for anything she did to hurt her. Gina said she didn’t know what “version” of Shannon she was dealing with because she wasn’t expecting an apology.
"I have no idea what version of Shannon we are on at this point- 2.0, 3.0, 10.0. 12.0, but whichever version this is, I hope it sticks," she said.
