The highly anticipated FOX TV show The Masked Singer Season 12 premiered on September 25, 2024. The show follows a lineup of celebrities dressed in costumes hiding their identities with a group of panelists trying to recognize the mysterious famous singers behind the mask.
An audience voting system is involved, and less popular masked singers have to unmask themselves. This season introduces masked ambassadors and features contenders such as Leaf Sheep, Show Bird, Ship, and Woodpecker, following John Elway, Nicole Brown, Paula Cole, and Marsai Martin in previous episodes.
In episode 4, which premiered on October 16, the identity of one of the masked singers was revealed as Andy Ritcher, masked as Dusty Bunny.
Who performed in episode 4 of The Masked Singer?
The show The Masked Singer started with premiering contestants from Group B. Episode 4 was themed “Sports Night”. Panelists Rita Ora and Robin Thicke kickstarted the show by performing “Rock You Like a Hurricane” by The Scorpions.

1) Wasp- Rock Your Body by Justin Timberlake
The first performance on The Masked Singer was of The Wasp whose Masked ambassador was season 10’s champion Ne-Yo (The Cow). He said introducing the The Wasp,
“I think it’s about time for my boy The Wasp to enter this game. I’ve known him since he was fresh on the scene and he gained huge success by taking my words of wisdom. I think he’s got what it takes to snag the Golden Mask trophy just like I did in Season 10.”
Wasp grew up in a tough neighborhood but now performs on big screens and stages worldwide. His performances included dance, and he gave the judges a clue with a pair of basketball sneakers.
Judges guessed him as Jason Derulo-Robin, Rita guessed him as Taye Diggs and Jenny guessed him to be Bruno Mars.
2) Chess Piece- Believe by Cher
The Masked Ambassador Nikki Glaser known as a fashion icon from The Masked Singer season 8 dressed up as a chess piece.
“Look, I love a fashion moment because I never thought I’d be here. There were times I felt like a pawn with no protection. People doubted me my whole life, but I had to believe in myself and make bold moves across the board to secure my crown and that leading role that changed my game.” Glaser said.
Hints were tennis shoes and her saying she has always been accused of being tone deaf but she loves to sing so she goes on. Chess Piece was guessed as Serena Williams by Jenny, Regina King by Ken, and Ashley Graham by Rita.
3) The Lovely Bluebell- We Belong by Pat Benatar
Bluebell said about herself,
“As my career was blossoming, the rumor mill grew wild about my alleged relationships with rockstars, billionaires, and even royals. The truth is, my true love never bloomed until recently. Now that I’ve found it, I’ve never been happier. We belong together. And now I’m here because, well, I’m kind of having a moment.”
The Masked Singer Season 2’s Ladybug Kelly Osbourne was her ambassador. Panelists were impressed by Bluebell’s performance and guessed her as Taylor Momsen by Ken, Ellie Goulding by Rita, or Leighton Meester by Robin.
4) Dusty Bunny- Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond
He introduced himself with,
“I’m Dust Bunny! I’m here to audition for ‘The Masked Singer’ because singing has always been a secret ambition of mine. When I was a rookie who first got into the biz, I had a super important job — making coffee. Until I was asked to stand in for a rehearsal to test the lighting, and wouldn’t you know it? Apparently, I had a face for TV. Since then I’ve collected quite a list of co-stars: Anne Hathaway, David Bowie, even Marlon Brando – though no one’s ever seen that footage!”
Dick Van Dyke was his ambassador. He didn’t seem like a professional singer in his performance but seemed to entertain the audience. Taking this hint Panelist guessed him as John C. Reilly (Jenny), Jay Leno (Rita), and Will Ferrell (Ken).
5) Goo- Lose Control by Teddy Swims
Goo’s ambassador was Keenan Allen from The Masked Singer season 9. Goo said about themselves,
“Growing up, I wanted to tackle everything in my way. But inside, I was really sensitive, oozing with emotions. Once my older brother started playing guitar, I found my escape. After tough days at school, I’d sit in my room crying, singing through the pains of high school drama. I became a total music nerd, starting acapella groups, music lab, and even winning awards.”
After the performance panelists guessed him as Khalid (Rita), Jon Batiste (Ken), and Shaboozey (Robin) because of his professional sound.
The Guess game
The audience voted out Dust Bunny. Panelist Jenny tried to guess him as John C. Reiley, Rita said it was Jay Leno, and Robin regarded him as Chevy Chase and Ken called him Will Ferrell. However, all of the guesses were proved wrong as Dust Bunny unmasked himself.
It was Andy Ritcher under the costume of Dust Bunny. He is an American actor, comedian, writer, and talk show announcer. He is best known for being Conan O'Brien's sidekick on O'Brien's talk shows and for starring in the Fox television series "Andy Richter Controls the Universe."
