In The Traitors UK season 3 episode 4, full-time mom Maia and Kas became the latest victim of the Traitors. Maia's "murder" occurred just a day after her sister, Armani, was banished from the game. While at the roundtable, Kas emerged as the player with the most votes, ultimately leading to his banishment.
The third installment kicked off on January 1, featuring a new cast of contestants competing for a significant cash prize. The reality show brings together a group of strangers, challenging them to navigate a complex web of detection, deception, and trust, with the ultimate goal of winning up to £120,000.
Upon their arrival, Claudia selected three contestants to assume the roles of the Traitors. Their secret mission was to eliminate their fellow competitors without revealing their true identities.
The chosen Traitors were Armani, a 27-year-old financial investigator, Linda, a 70-year-old retired opera singer, and Minah, a 29-year-old call center manager.
The Traitors UK star Maia reveals pregnancy news on The Traitors Uncloaked
Maia shared a personal update shortly after being eliminated on the official podcast of the BBC series, The Traitors Uncloaked.
The latest episode, which aired on January 8, was filled with dramatic twists, including the return of previously eliminated contestants and the banishment of another Faithful player. The events unfolded after Armani was exposed as a Traitor at the Round Table.
The next day, the group discovered that Armani's sister, Maia, a Faithful player, had been "murdered." On the podcast, Maia shared some news through host Ed Gamble with the audience. Maia joined Ed Gamble on The Traitors Uncloaked, alongside Kas, a Faithful player who had been banished.
Ed congratulated Maia on her pregnancy, and she discussed her experiences on the show with her sister.
Prior to appearing on the show, Maia, a 25-year-old from Essex, had shared her plans for the cash prize. Her goal was to use the money as a deposit on a house.
Maia's long-term aspiration is to leave her current life behind and relocate to the countryside, where she can live a peaceful and quiet life. Once her debts are settled, Maia hopes to treat herself to a holiday in Bali, a destination inspired by the book and film Eat, Pray, Love.
"My plan, just in general with life is that I kind of want to disappear off the face of the earth. I want to live in the countryside, I want to have a very quiet life," stated Maia.
Maia is devoted to being a full-time mother to her two-year-old daughter, Ava. Before entering the castle, Maia revealed that the financial burden of parenthood motivated her to participate in the show.
The eventual cost of nursery care for Ava was a significant factor, with Maia comparing it to the expense of a mortgage. On the podcast, Maia discussed her suspicions about Freddie being a Traitor.
However, she was surprised to discover that her suspicions were entirely misplaced. Maia acknowledged that she had misjudged Freddie, particularly during the raft challenge, where she struggled and assumed Freddie had as well.
Her fellow panelists pointed out that Freddie had indeed faced difficulties during the rowing challenge, further making the situation clearer for Maia.
"I'm sorry Freddie! I really thought it was Freddie. When we got off the raft, I was confused why he got off. I got off because I was rubbish," stated Maia.
