The 47th season of Survivor Episode 4, titled Is That Blood in Your Hair, saw the Luvo tribe suffer another defeat in the immunity challenge, putting them in the difficult position of voting out one of their own.
After a suspenseful tribal council, fans witnessed the elimination of 28-year-old ER doctor Kishan Patel, as Rome Cooney used his 'steal a vote' advantage to secure his safety and ensure Patel's exit.
The Luvo tribe lost the immunity challenge for the second week in a row, which diminished their numbers and put them at a disadvantage to the Gata and Tuku tribes. As Survivor Season 47 progresses, relationships are put to the test as fresh game elements are added, adding to the already intense environment.
Survivor episode 4: Elimination details
In Episode 4 of Survivor Season 47, the players of all three tribes were under pressure, particularly when it came to finding and protecting immunity idols and advantages.
Sue Smey of the Tuku tribe managed to find a hidden immunity idol, keeping her safe for the foreseeable future, but this created distrust among her tribemates. Meanwhile, the Luvo tribe struggled yet again in the immunity challenge, coming in last and facing the tribal council.
The power belonged to Lavo's majority alliance, which also included Rome, Teeny, Kishan, and Genevieve. Despite Aysha's resistance to voting against her ally Sol, Aysha ended up with the most votes in the divided final vote.
Once they were back at camp, Sol called out Kishan and Teeny for defying their strategy. Meanwhile, the tribe was experiencing tension between Sol and Rome due to Rome's aggressive tactics.
With Rome Cooney holding a steal-a-vote advantage, the balance of power shifted in his favor. Despite earlier tensions with fellow tribe member Solomon Sol Yi, the target shifted away from Yi, and a majority of votes were cast against Kishan Patel.
Cooney's advantage allowed him to control the outcome, securing Patel's elimination and leaving the Luvo tribe down to four players heading into Episode 5.
Previous eliminations: Episodes 1 to 3
The eliminations in Survivor Season 47 have followed a consistent pattern of competition and shifting alliances. In Episode 1, Jon Lovett, a former speechwriter, became the first castaway to be voted out after the Gata tribe lost the immunity challenge.
Episode 2 saw the Tuku tribe head to the tribal council, where TK Foster was eliminated after a close competition involving a rice bag obstacle and puzzle challenge. By Episode 3, the Luvo tribe faced their first loss, with Aysha Welch being voted out after Rome Cooney played an immunity idol to guarantee his safety.
What to expect moving forward
With four eliminations now in the books, and the Luvo tribe down to four members, the dynamics within each tribe will become even more intense. As Survivor Season 47 progresses, expect more idols, advantages, and alliances to shape the outcomes of future episodes.
Fans will continue to follow the action closely to see who ultimately takes home the title of 'Sole Survivor' and the $1 million prize. In the meantime, the remaining players from each tribe navigate the challenges ahead.
