A look at the two bombshell winners
Mercedes is a 28-year-old model from the USA, who entered the Australian version of the show as a bombshell. Before he joined Love Island Australia 2024, he was part of the US version of another reality show, FBoy Island. He won FBoy Island twice.
Mercedes impressed his co-contestants with his height, looks, and charismatic personality. He hoped his accent and appearance would resonate with the women in the villa. Before entering the villa, Mercedes had followed Love Island Australia and expressed a desire to meet someone like Season 5 contestants Georgia or Tyra.
Em is a 26-year-old model and content creator from New South Wales, Australia, who was raised in the small town of Kempsey. The contestant had spent time in Canada before she moved to Sydney and has previously worked in various roles. These included restaurant management, social media management for a hair salon, and content creation.
She entered the Love Island villa with a lively and energetic personality and her primary focus was emotional connection. She said that while she appreciated physical attraction, her main goal was to form a deeper emotional bond. Outside of the villa, Em is a black belt in karate and enjoys snowboarding.
