The Summit, a reality TV series, aired on September 29, 2024. Now that the season finale of the competition show has been released, viewers have got to know who the winner is. The finalists who received a grand prize of $250,000 each and reached up the mountain were Nick Morgan, Punkin Jackson, and Therron Pitman. Later in the episode, the eliminated contestants voted for the person they wanted to win.
Towards the end, due to the majority of the votes, Nick was declared as the winner of the competition. As fans already know, in this CBS series, a group of contestants climb up the New Zealand Alps to protect their grand prize of $1 million. Within 14 days, the group has to reach their destination, or else their "prize money will be lost." The show synopsis mentions:
"Tracking them along this journey is the "Mountain's Keeper" who will surprise the trekkers with brutal twists and force decisions that complicate an already grueling ascent. Morals and relationships are tested when they must decide what to do if someone falls behind, because if the group fails to reach the summit in time, all the prize money is lost."

The Summit season 1 finale episode 10 titled Season Finale: The Judgement Day was released exclusively on CBS on December 4, 2024, at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT. The episode synopsis reads as the following:
"The final four trekkers reach an impassable chasm at the peak of their journey and must use a helicopter long line to cross it; the 13 eliminated members of the group return and play a pivotal role in the final outcome."
Nick Morgan was declared the winner of The Summit season 1
The Summit season finale concluded with three contestants making it to the top of the mountain. The aforementioned finalists were tested throughout the competition series as they struggled to maintain their strengths in harsh weather conditions.
After the three players reached The Summit, the CBS show host Manu Bennett announced the prize of $250,000 for each one of them. Later in the episode, it was shared that the winner out of the three finalists was to be announced through votes by eliminated contestants. The winner received $250,000 more on top of the initial prize money.
The show's executive producer shared his opinion on Nick being declared the winner of season 1. He told Parade Magazine on December 5, 2024, that Nick was a good representation of the show as he had the qualities of "physical prowess, strategic gamesmanship, and likeability." He further said:
"I think Nick is a good representation of this first season. He had a rare combination of physical prowess, strategic gamesmanship, and likability that elevated him to the top. That’s what it takes to win The Summit."
As of now, it has not been confirmed whether The Summit will be renewed for another season. However, Kevin shared that if season 2 gets renewed, they will surprise the viewers and the audience with new plot twists.
