Too Hot to Handle season 6 episode 6 aired on Netflix on June 26, 2024. The episode featured former couple Bri and Demari getting back together. After receiving a heartfelt apology and a deep conversation with Demari, Bri decided to give him another chance.

Demari had apologized to Bri multiple times for his mistake, but she had not forgiven him at the time. In the show's fourth episode, Demari had kissed a newly joined housemate, Valentina, which caused friction between Bri and Demari. Despite his apologies, Bri struggled to forgive him for both the kiss and the emotional impact it had on her.

What happened between Bri and Demari during Too Hot To Handle episode 6?

The sixth episode of Too Hot To Handle, titled Womb for Improvement, featured Demari apologizing to his former connection, Bri. Although he apologized for his actions, Bri wasn’t ready to forgive him at that time.

So, why did Bri forgive Demari later on? It was because Demari came to her after he realized something during the activity he did during the sixth episode.

Too Hot to Handle season 6: Demari’s heartfelt apology to Bri

Too Hot To Handle season 6 episode 6 featured an activity only for male housemates. Lana described it as “an emergency male-only workshop,” conducted by s*x and relationship expert Shan Boodram.

The purpose of the activity was for all the male housemates to learn about loyalty and respect for all the female housemates. For the activity to work, there were big-sized boxes with doors that represented the “womb” of male housemates’ mothers, from where they would come out as “rebirth.”

During the activity, Demari listened to a message from his mother, who told him how to treat women. After the session, Demari realized how he had hurt Bri and wanted to apologize. Upon returning to the retreat, Demari went to Bri and opened up his heart.

Demari started with:

"My mom, she was talking about how to treat my partner as I would want somebody to treat her (his mother.) And I failed in that a lot. I often, with honesty and respect, doing things that I wouldn’t want to be done, even to me."

He continued his apology:

"I just wanted to apologize for the way that I treated you. I actually understand that I was wrong, not because it hurt you, but because I was actually wrong. I’m sorry you have to go through that."

Bri felt that this was a genuine apology and that Demari was actually getting to understand how she felt. After she accepted Demari’s apology, she asked him to “pinky-promise” something.

Bri asked Demari:

"I need you to pinky-promise me that your head’s not gonna turn if somebody else comes in here and that you want this connection. Like, you want me."

He gladly agreed to what Bri asked, and they were together again. Later, Bri shared in the confessional that it was her and Demari from that time onwards.

The duo also shared a long kiss after Lana allowed them to do so via the wristwatches they had been given earlier. Lana gave the housemates wristwatches during the sixth episode. Hence, housemates can engage in physical intimacy, i.e., kissing, whenever the wristwatch's screen turns green, without breaking rules.
