America's Got Talent's July 30th live shows did not air as mentioned in the schedule timetable. It was later revealed that the upcoming episodes have been postponed until August 13, 2024.
There was no new episode of the talent show available on NBS because of the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games, replacing its 8/7c slot on Tuesday night. To make up for this delay, NBC will air two episodes every week on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
According to the NBC Insider article posted on July 30, 2024, the Gymnastics Women’s Team Final aired on 8/7c instead of America's Got Talent. NBC hinted at their support for the US team and mentioned that they were rooting for Regan Smith, who will compete in the Olympics after breaking a world record.
"Also on Tuesday night at 9/8c, athletes will be competing for gold in the women’s 100-meter backstroke. Keep an eye out for Minnesota-native Regan Smith, who set a backstroke world record in the U.S. Swimming Trials in June."
America's Got Talent live shows are delayed because of the Paris Summer Olympic Games 2024
Simone Biles took the lead for Team USA, in which all individuals competed for the "first medaled event" in women’s gymnastics. Following the Gymnastics Women’s Team Final, by 10:30/9:30, the women’s surfing final also aired. One of the major highlights was Carissa Moore, who made a name for herself during USA's Olympic debut back in 2022.
NBC has announced that the Summer Games 2024 will air till Sunday, August 11, 2024, which has been airing since July 27, 2024.
The America’s Got Talent judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, and Sofia Vergara will return for the live shows on August 13. With the live shows being released every Tuesday, and the result announcement on Wednesdays, fans can expect to see much more excitement and enthusiasm from the contestants as well.
Competing in the live shows, fan-favorite participants include Pranysqa Mishra, and singers Journeyy and Mia Soleil Sanchez who return to the AGT stage to showcase their capabilities.
Even though the contestants competing on the live shows are headed to the next round, their fate depends on the audience vote, which will decide if an act gets to compete in the finale or not. The live shows differ from auditions, as they are not pre-recorded and scenes are not cut. If something wrong happens during the performances, the viewers will see it as well.
Fans can stream the previous episodes on NBC and follow the America's Got Talent Instagram account to stay updated with the latest news. All episodes will be available on the NBC app and the streaming platform Peacock TV.
