Love is Blind: Mexico has been a ride in only the first four episodes that were released on August 1 on Netflix. The initial episodes saw some of the 30 total contestants getting lucky with finding fiancé from the lot, thus proving the experiment fruitful. Others were seen contemplating their decision and going back and forth between people, trying to figure out what they felt.
Irais was heartbroken after Fernando rejected her in episode 2. However, the solace Rene brought her kept her faith in the experiment going. But after she faced rejection from Fernando, she didn't see Rene for 2 days, nor did she explain the reason for her absence.
When she saw him 2 days later, he demanded to know what kept her away for so long. She said the fact that he drank alcohol had been bothering her and added that she was scared it would become a problem later in their relationship.

What did Irais say about not seeing Rene for 2 days on Love is Blind: Mexico?
In episode 2 of Love is Blind: Mexico Irais confessed her feelings to Fernando and gave him gifts to let him know he was the one for her. Fernando didn't reciprocate what she felt and rejected her, which brought her to tears. Before parting ways, she asked for his opinion on Rene and shared her fears about alcoholism.
Fernando assured her saying he didn't have a single bad thing to say about him and that he wasn't a drunk. So Irais decided to continue her chats with Rene. But when she saw him in episode 3, he asked why she hadn't contacted him in 2 days.
"In the last relationship that I was in, I experienced abuse. Part of what made me a little scared of the fact that you like drinking, was thinking that maybe it could make you violent," Irais said.
She added that she felt like his drinking habit could put her in a vulnerable place. She shared that it took her "a lot of therapy" to get out of her previous experience and she didn't wish to go through the same again.
Rene reassured her saying that he felt a strong connection with her and that he wanted her to count on him. Following what he said, Irais said she just wanted to look forward from then on and shared that her fear was gone.
What happened after Irais and Rene cleared out their differences on Love is Blind: Mexico?
Rene then asked her what if he looked different from what she had expected. To which she responded:
"I don't think you'll be different to what I expect because, honestly, I'm not expecting anything."
When Rene asked her if she had a type, Irais said:
"All the guys I've dated have looked physically different."
However, when the time came for their big reveal to each other, Irais rejected him based on his appearance. After seeing him for the first time, all her fears came alive again because she thought he looked like a "drunk". She also disapproved of his piercings and thought they made him look like a "party stereotype".
Rene said he couldn't do much if she didn't like how he looked and said he wasn't someone who would force anyone, and with that, their journey on Love is Blind: Mexico ended.
