Joey Essex appeared on Selling Sunset season 8. The reality star was moving from London to LA and was looking for a place in LA. He appeared in episode 4 with boxer Conor Benn and met Chelsea Lazkani who was out with her Oppenheim Group co-workers for a dinner outing.
Further, in episode 9 of Selling Sunset season 8, Chelsea showed Joey a house in Hollywood Hills and the reality star was quite satisfied with the place and even took a dive in the swimming pool.
In an interview with OK! on July 8, 2024, Joey's cousin Chloe Sims shared that she was responsible for Joey's appearance on Selling Sunset. She said that the Love Island star stayed with her in LA for six weeks while he was filming for the reality show. She loved having him and said that it was good for her to spend some quality time with her cousin.

Chloe further added that she was the one who introduced Joey to Chelsea who then agreed to help him to find places in LA and asked him to appear on the show.

Selling Sunset star Chelsea Lazkani started looking for a place in LA, according to Joey Essex's likings. She landed in a house in Hollywood Hills that was up for sale and set up a meeting with its agent Gene Bush to have a look at the place.
Chelsea met Gene at the location in Selling Sunset season 8 episode 9 and had a discussion about the place. When she arrived at the house she said to the agent that the actual place looked better than its online listing. The agent described the place as:
"The house you come to when you wanna bring your friends in, fully entertain. Clubs over, you come back, you got this beautiful view, and the night just starts."
Located in Carmen Crest, Los Angeles, the Hollywood Hills house was over 3,785 sqft and had 3 bedrooms, and 4 bathrooms. It was priced at $5.25 million and the commotion on the block for the agent was $157k.
Chelsea talked about her client Joey and said that he lives in London and was moving to LA. She further added that he was a single guy who wanted to impress women. Agent Gene said that the place might be the perfect place for Joey as it was "built for a bachelor" who wanted to have "ultimate fun".
Joey entered and was impressed by the house, calling it "lit" and just what he was looking for. Gene asked Chelsea to give him a tour of the three-level home. Chelsea showed Joey the kitchen and described what his mornings would be like if he lived there. She mentioned the house was new on the market and advised that if he wanted to make an offer, it should be competitive.
Chelsea further told Joey that they also need to look into more places before rushing into any one of them/
