Netflix's Love Is Blind season 7 features more drama between couples who formed connections during their time in the pods. In the show, the couples have to connect with other singles and are allowed to use their phone or social media during that time, forcing them to form an emotional connection with the person rather than a physical one.

The experiment brought together six couples by the end of the honeymoon phase. One such couple was Alex and Tim, who connected during the experiment. They decided to become a couple after Tim read an emotional handwritten letter and sought Alex's father's blessing for their upcoming marriage.

Although some issues emerged on-screen, further developments occurred off-screen as fans await the finale, scheduled for release on October 23, 2024.

During their time in Mexico, fans of the show became curious about Tyler Francis's past before Love Is Blind, and he threw a few remarks regarding the same. He even mentioned that back home, people who knew him “in real life” would tell her that he was “not nice.”

Life & Style published an exclusive report on October 15, 2024, looking at the legal complications and controversies of Tyler. The media outlet reported that in 2008, the reality star was charged with multiple DUIs and reckless driving because of a traffic incident in Arizona.

The troubled past of Love Is Blind's Tyler Francis explored

According to the magazine, the 35-year-old former military man was charged with three counts of misdemeanor DUI charges. This included DUI with a BAC of .08 or more, DUI – liquor/drugs/vapors/combo, and extreme DUI – BAC of .15 or more on November 30, 2008.

In addition, Tyler was also charged with reckless driving for exceeding 85 miles per hour. All five charges were later dismissed on motion or request of the prosecution.

Tyler's intentions were again put under the microscope when weeks before their wedding, he admitted that he was the father of three children via sperm donation. He claimed he knew a couple who wanted his help, and he obliged. He did not share many details about them, and Ashley was unaware of their genders or other important details.

Tyler also mentioned in the show that he did not know the children, and they did not know what he looked like either. Many Love Is Blind fans questioned whether that was true, including the mother of the three children, Bri Thomas. In a since-deleted Instagram post on October 9, Bri commented on the scenario:

"My children love their ‘Dad.’ To think that he has reduced them to ‘sperm babies,’ when I was told he was going on the show to be able to better provide for them, is the most absurd and hurtful thing ever. My kids don’t deserve this."

She further stated that she had kept quiet because of the children, as she did not want them to suffer due to the unnecessary drama.

Fans of Love Is Blind season 7 await to see in the finale episode whether this confession by Tyler has changed the dynamics of his relationship with Ashley.

The latter has defended Tyler in recent interviews, and in an October 6 interview with People, she stated that she was shocked by the comments mentioning that Tyler was not a kind man.

Ashley explained that the "whole point of coming into this experiment was to jump in with both feet" and try to work with them as they were in real life. So, in the pods, when Tyler stated that some people might not think he was a nice person, she did not believe him.

The finale of Love Is Blind will be available on Netflix on October 23, 2024.
