Married at First Sight UK is one of the spinoff series for the hit reality TV show Married at First Sight, in which contestants find the love of their lives through the help of professional experts. Psychologists and matchmakers evaluate each person's personality and pair them with a possible compatible cast member.
Married at First Sight UK series 9 has already premiered and introduced its cast members, including 28-year-old Alex Henry. Alex decided to leave the post at an electronic warfare base and was recently jailed by a military court.
The Married at First Sight UK contestant wanted to take leave from work to film the series but wasn't granted permission by his commanding officer at RAF Spadeadam, Cumbria. Henry still left without informing the authorities and was sentenced to jail for 34 days when he returned. However, he stayed there for 24 days.

According to the Independent UK, one of Alex's representatives revealed that he returned after filming and "handed himself" to the authorities. The statement continued:
"He returned after filming of his own volition and handed himself into the military authorities. He was sentenced to 34 days in a military prison and served 24 as a model inmate.”
As per the Channel 4 official website, Married at First Sight UK series 9 has released episodes 1 to 4.
Married at First Sight UK star Alex Henry joined the show to look for a "stable relationship"
The main twist on the hit show is when a matched pair is not allowed to meet one another until their wedding day. After the wedding, couples get to know one another and establish an emotional bond. Alex joined the show in hopes of finding his one true love.
According to Alex's official introduction and bio on the Channel 4 website, the 28-year-old is described as a hard-working individual. He is originally from Birmingham and works in Aviation Operations. His bio further mentioned that he wanted to join the reality TV show Married at First Sight UK to find a long-lasting "stable relationship."
It also stated that Alex wants to "get rid of his ‘man about town’ reputation" and meet the woman of his dreams who can challenge him and bring out the best in him.
According to his introduction, Alex has been single for more than five months and wishes to settle down with someone who his mother could easily approve of. His Married at First Sight UK series 9 contestant introduction article states:
"Focussed and driven, Alex knows the true meaning of work hard / play hard and works full time in Aviation, but has the ambition to focus on fulfilling his dreams of becoming a professional boxer."
The charity Women's Aid also stated that Alex's previous relationship history was questionable. They were disappointed in Channel 4 for including him on the show.
Up until now, Alex himself hasn't addressed the situation.
