On the December 9 episode of 90 Day: The Last Resort, Jasmine expressed her frustration over her relationship with Gino, focusing on her yearning for independence and intimacy. As the couples participated in the "Compromise Canyon" exercise, where they carried rocks symbolizing the weight in their relationships, Jasmine chose "independence" to represent her struggle.

In a confessional, Jasmine said:

“It makes me feel like I have to beg for attention, I have to beg for love. Why? Why did you marry me?”

Despite recently receiving her Green Card, Jasmine revealed that her transition to life in the United States has been difficult. She lamented the lack of autonomy she once had in Panama and expressed disappointment in Gino’s inability to support her aspirations.

The discussion escalated as Jasmine demanded a car to regain her freedom, while Gino argued that financial limitations prevented him from fulfilling her request on 90 Day: The Last Resort.

During episode 2 of 90 Day: The Last Resort, Jasmine expressed her longing for independence, explaining that having her own car would be the first step toward regaining her freedom. She believed that personal transportation was crucial for her to feel free again. Gino responded:

“I can’t afford a vehicle for you,” and added, “You don’t appreciate anything anyway.”

Further, Jasmine accused Gino of rejecting her advances, saying:

“I stopped showing you affection because of the rejection I felt.”

Gino admitted, “I have to be in the right mood,” but Jasmine countered, “You are never in the right mood.”

The lack of progress in therapy sessions and their inability to resolve these conflicts led Jasmine to storm off, calling Gino a “scammer.” The next morning, Jasmine confided in her friend Matt, saying, “I feel unappreciated and unhappy.” Matt encouraged her to try therapy again, suggesting:

“I think you should work these things out with him. You have love for each other.”

However, he remarked that Gino might not realize how many men would eagerly appreciate and value someone like Jasmine.

What happened between Gino and Jasmine in the recent episodes of 90 Day: The Last Resort?

In episode 5 of 90 Day: The Last Resort, Jasmine Pineda and Gino Palazzolo confronted significant challenges in their marriage, particularly concerning intimacy. Jasmine revealed that Gino had not been physically affectionate with her for nine months, leading to tensions in their relationship.

She expressed her frustration and even suggested exploring an open marriage to address the lack of intimacy. However, Gino was uncomfortable with this idea and declined the proposal, expressing concerns about the implications for their marriage.

During a candid discussion, Jasmine proposed the idea of an open marriage to address her unmet needs, stating:

"If s** is a problem with me, why do you have a problem with us having an open marriage?"

Gino rejected the idea, stating that it wasn't something he was "looking for in [my] marriage."

The couple's therapy sessions further highlighted their differing perspectives. Jasmine accused Gino of prioritizing his habits over their relationship, while Gino felt that addressing their broader issues, such as trust and emotional connection, was essential before resuming physical intimacy.

During the kayaking challenge in episode 6, despite their ongoing issues, Gino acknowledged Jasmine's composed demeanor throughout the activity. He remarked that they had managed to work effectively as a team.
