Selling Sunset season 8 is now available on Netflix, with all 11 episodes premiering on September 6, 2024. Created by Adam DiVello, the show chronicles the cutthroat life of Las Vegas's Oppenheim group, a real estate firm with Jason and Brett Oppenheim as the founders. This season also welcomed a new cast member, Alanna Whittaker, a real estate agent from Canada.
In episode 5, Alanna Whittaker invited all her girls from the O group to have a little retreat in Pioneertown, owned by her. She was joined by Mary, Nicole, and Amanza, but Chrishell could not make it to the retreat along with Bre and Chelsea. She called Alanna and clarified that she could not join them because she wanted to be with Chelsea as she was going through a crisis.
During the episode, Chelsea got to know from Bre that her husband was cheating on her. She was heartbroken, and therefore, Chrishell decided to be with her. Mary, Nicole, Amanza, and Alanna continued their retreat, hoping everything would turn out to be fine with Chelsea.
Chrishell extended her support to Chelsea in episode 5 of Selling Sunset season 8
In episode 5 of Selling Sunset season 8, Chelsea received shocking news from Bre about her husband's infidelity, leaving her heartbroken. Alanna had planned to get away with all the girls to her place in Pioneertown, but Chrishell, along with Chelsea and Bre, could not join the girls there. The official description of the episode reads:
"Bre reveals the explosive news to Chelsea that affects the group trip to Alanna's western themed desert oasis. Nicole brings up a touchy topic at a dinner."
Later in the episode, Chelsea visited Chrishell's house and expressed that her personal life was in shambles and it was very hard for her to go through whatever was happening. In the confessional in episode 5 of Selling Sunset, Chelsea explained that she did not go to Alanna's trip because she wanted to be alone with Chrishell and not take away the vibe of the trip.
She further said that she was not in the right mental space, but she knew that she would be fine and would be able to handle herself better in the future. She told Chrishell:
"My first feeling was there is no way this person would do this in my face."
Christell asked Chelsea if she confronted her husband, Jess, about it. Chelsea stated that she had not. She further explained that Jess had been so family-oriented and that was why she fell in love with him. She also shared with Chrishell that there had been a few blips in their relationship. Jess had an opinion that she should be more present for her family and not be so much into her career.
Chelsea opened up about the reason for her broken marriage in episode 5 of Selling Sunset and told the cameras that:
"The one thing that has really broken my marriage more than anything is my choice of career, that my partner doesn't support very vocally. I love my work. I just love to do what I do so much, and that was the biggest pain point in my marriage over the last two years."
Chrishell sat there like a true friend and heard Chelsea patiently, only to see her shattering into tears later.
