Love Island has had its fair share of dramatic turns and twists, including the Uma-Wil-Lucy drama. On Tuesday, the audience was left shocked as Uma decided to exit the villa with Wil even after he pursued a romantic connection with Lucy at Casa Amor. However, during the recoupling segment, Wil chose Uma as his partner.
Although the Love Island star was sent on a date with Reuben and Joshua Oyinsan, Uma still wanted to stay with Wil. However, Reuben decided to steal her and Wil was left single and without a match, which meant he had to go home. Uma couldn't bear to see him leave the villa, so she impulsively decided to leave with her partner as she didn't wish to be a part of the dating show anymore.
According to her official Peacock bio, Uma Jammeh is a 23-year-old VIP host and model from Islington, North London. She had been "unlucky" in love so far and came on the show to find her authentic love match.

Viewers earlier saw that Uma Jammeh and Wil weren't on good terms despite the latter apologizing for kissing Lucy. Uma soon forgave Wil and chose him as her partner. The Love Island star was looking forward to taking the next step with Wil and was excited to spend time away from the cameras and date in real life.
When it was revealed on July 9 that Wil was going home, Uma told her co-stars that she was leaving too. She said she had no intentions to stay in the dating competition "without him." She believed Wil was her one true love and didn't want to risk losing him.
"I'm leaving guys I'm not being funny, I'm going. I'm literally going guys, I'm not staying here without him," she stated.
Speaking to her Love Island co-star, Nicole, Uma shared that her heart wanted to leave the villa. Nicole encouraged her friend to do whatever she felt was right. Jammeh said she and Wil were now in a "good place" and she didn't want to risk the distance ruining their newly formed connection.
As per Stellar, Uma explained that she could see a future with Wil, and said their connection was stronger than ever.
"When Wil walked in I instantly felt a connection with him, he was all in for me which I really liked, and it was refreshing off the back of the Ayo situation. Once Wil took me to the other Villa for an overnight stay something clicked and I felt a special spark in that moment which made me realise he was the person for me," she mentioned.
Fans can stream Love Island on ITV2 and ITVX. Newly released episodes are also available to stream on Peacock.
