Love is Blind Mexico released its second installment of episodes on August 8 on Netflix. It consisted of episodes 5 to 8 and saw the five couples proceeding to the second stage of the experiment. They moved in together and even met each other's friends and family, in an attempt to get to know each other better.
The contestants got a month to decide if they wanted to tie the knot with someone. They would have to spend a week at the honeymoon retreat and then three weeks living together. However, for some, such as Willy, this process was taxing. In episode 7 of the show, he revealed to Fernanda and Gerardo that he had decided to let go of Francesca because things were moving too fast for him.
Yet, they decided to stick together and take things slowly. After that, when Willy and Francesca went rock climbing with Gerardo-Fernanda, Willy was having fun.
He said he was being too serious and he should have more fun. Fernanda, Gerardo, and Francesca then motivated him to keep it going. His family also weighed in on his insecurities and prodded him to stay, which made him continue.
How did Willy's views about leaving Francesca slowly change on Love is Blind Mexico?
After Willy had fun with Francesca on their double date with Fernanda and Gerardo, he loosened up a little and said he had fun. The four of them then sat down for lunch, where Francesca said:
"We had to tease him about his fears. We might be bringing him down a bit with all the jokes but it's also about giving him those little boosts of 'you can do it, hang in there'".
Willy said in a confessional on Love is Blind Mexico that it was hard for him to introspect and he realized that sometimes he just needed to go with the flow. He told the other duo that he didn't want to confront his own emotions sometimes and appreciated Francesca for handling the situation so well. He found her very encouraging as well. Explaining further, Willy added:
"She made things a lot clearer for me and now we know how to tackle this issue together".
He then compared Love is Blind Mexico to a rock climbing wall and said he didn't want to give up on the wall or the relationship. Willy then made Francesca meet his sisters and video call his parents. They strengthened his trust in the process even more because they liked Francesca.
On a video call with his parents too, Francesca gave the type of answers his sisters praised. Willy's father said that they would like to focus more on conversations about Willy's emotions as it wasn't something they had talked about in the past.
In episode 8 of Love is Blind Mexico, when Willy and Francesca sat down for lunch with his friends, one of his friends said that looking at Willy just felt like he was "already on board". Willy opened up and said that he wasn't allowing himself to feel. He was holding back from loving, but the experiment had helped him break out of it.
Willy spoke more about his emotions and said that he had shown more of himself to his parents and to Francesca in the past month. His friends advised him to think of himself and make a decision.
Episodes 9 and 10 of Love is Blind Mexico come out on August 15, on Netflix.
