Why did Xanthi warn Tolu about Chris in Perfect Match season 2? Details explored

Perfect Match season 2 dropped three new episodes on Friday, June 14, 2024, and in one of the episodes, the eliminated contestants rejoined the cast. Among them was Xanthi Perdikomatis, who was previously matched with Kaz, followed by her connection with Stevan.

Upon Xanthi's return to the show, she spoke to Chris Hahn during the men's mixer and a conversation between the two caused conflict between Chris and his partner, Tolu. Xanthi warned Tolu about Chris' intentions and informed her that he suggested they form a romantic connection. She told Tolu in episode 9:

"He basically was like, I feel like I haven't gotten this experience because I've been with Tolu. You need to switch your match. Tolu if you stay with him, it's gonna be crazy."

Xanthi spills the tea about Chris to Tolu in Perfect Match season 2

In Perfect Match season 2 episode 8, Xanthi was one of the female cast members who returned to the show as part of the men's mixer. While in the pool, Chris expressed guilt about not exploring more on the show since he matched with Tolu in episode 2 and added that it made him feel like his relationship with her wasn't as "strong" as he thought.

In a confessional, he said that things were going great between him and Tolu but that he was also interested in Xanthi. Chris added that he found her "very attractive."

"You can have something really good with someone, but at the same time, you might have something even better with someone else," the Perfect Match season 2 cast member added.

Later, while in a one-on-one conversation with Xanthi, Chris asked her who she was interested in. He added that in the outside world, they would have probably "just hooked up." Although she told him she liked the honesty, the Perfect Match season 2 cast member told the cameras she wasn't interested in him.

Xanthi added that she believed the boys were considering the mixer a "freebie" before they went back to their matches and noted that she had "lots of tea" for her "girlies back at the house."

Back at the house, Xanthi pulled Tolu aside for a chat and told her about her conversation with Chris, and instructed her to switch her match. In a confessional, Tolu said that Chris told her about Boys Day as if they had gone to "church."

"Whole time, I'm hearing that you were on demon time. Baby, I didn't know I was an option. I thought I was the one."

The latter then spoke to Chris and asked him about what Xanthi had told her. Even before Tolu told him what she wanted to talk about, Chris noted that the conversation should be "fun" since the women were blowing things out of proportion.

She asked her Perfect Match season 2 connection whether he said he felt guilty about missing out on the experience of the show since he was matched with her and he said it was "100% false." Hearing what Xanthi had said, Chris asked her to join the conversation and to repeat everything she said to Tolu in front of him.

"Yeah, so, Chris and I had a conversation. And Chris said that he felt like he didn't get to fully experience this because he's been matched with you," said Xanthi.

When Chris denied the claims, the female cast member told Tolu she wasn't going to have the conversation if Chris was going to lie. The male cast member explained that he hadn't been able to explore during the show because he didn't want to. Although the two argued and were at odds, they chose each other as their match.
