Selling Sunset season 8 premiered on Netflix, packed with drama. Beyond what fans saw on screen, the cast faced their own issues during filming. Several cast members took to social media and voiced their issues with other Selling Sunset cast mates.
Fans were excited to see how the Oppenheim Group agents would react when they faced each other once again after a season full of drama. Despite the buzz surrounding the season, Variety reported on September 11 that "Netflix will not be filming a reunion for season 8 of the show."
Selling Sunset first introduced the reunion episode in season 5. However, the next reunion episode came in season 7.
Problems among Selling Sunset season 8 cast
Chrishell Stause calls out Nicole Young
Selling Sunset season 8 premiered on September 6, 2024, but in the weeks leading up to the release, cast members began voicing their issues with the season. One of the cast members who was not happy with their experience in the season was Chrishell Stause.
Chrishell had problems with her Selling Sunset castmate Nicole Young. Nicole joined the show with season 6, and through her run on the show, she used to bring up the topic of Emma Hernan having an affair with a married man. Her fellow castmates used to ignore her whenever she used to bring up the topic.
Chrishell was not happy that Nicole was trying to ruin her friend Emma's reputation and the fact that the producers were allowing it without hearing Emma's side of the truth.
Chrishell took to her Instagram one week before the season 8 premiere and called out Nicole. In one of her Instagram stories, Chrishell wrote about her fellow star and expressed that she would never work with Nicole again, even if she got sued.
Chrishell wrote:
“I will NEVER work on a show with her on it again. I would rather be sued.”
In the same Instagram story, Chrishell tagged Selling Sunset producers "Adam DiVello’s Done and Done Productions" and further added:
“And you are disgusting for blindsiding her with this to see with the world instead of letting her at LEAST defend herself with the TRUTH.”
Chelsea Lazkani and Bre Tiesi's feud
Chelsea Lazkani and Bre Tiesi's feud has been ongoing since season 6, when Bre made her arrival. Chelsea commented on Bre being one of the mothers of Nick Cannon's kids. Bre confronted Chelsea on the matter, and the two Selling Sunset castmates were at odds for the next season.
In season 8, Bre's realtor friend Amanda Lynn informed her that she had proof that Chelsea's husband was cheating on her with someone at W’s Residences in Hollywood.
In one of her tweets, around the premiere of season 8, Chelsea shared that she was not happy with the fact that Bre decided to put information about her personal life on the show and in front of millions of people.
Chelsea tweeted:
In another tweet, Chelsea shared that she had to set up a conversation with Bre during the season so that she could hear the information directly from her rather than hear it from someone else.
"Pt 2: I hear what is swirling while filming, and I ask production to set up a scene with Bre. I did this so she could tell me directly, so that it’s not past around to a trillion people before me. Hope this helps!"
Chelsea shared a tweet on September 7, 2024, and wrote that she would quit the show if Amanda was part of the show moving forward.
Chelsea tweeted:
"Made it clear and putting it in writing, if racist Amanda is on the show as a cast member. I'm out."
All episodes of Selling Sunset season 8 are available to stream on Netflix.
