Netflix’s Love is Blind: Germany, which premiered on January 3, 2025, delivers a unique concept of finding love without the influence of physical appearance. In episode 2 of the show, Daniel and Hanni’s journey took a major step forward as Daniel proposed to her, stating,

“Will you be my wife?”

The episode opened with their first meeting after their engagement, showcasing a blend of excitement and nervousness as the two finally saw each other face-to-face.

Love is Blind: Germany follows 30 singles looking for love within the confines of the pods, where they connect through conversations, emotions, and shared dreams without seeing each other. Episode 2 highlighted some of these connections, as well as moments of uncertainty, deeper bonds, and even two proposals, including Daniel and Hanni’s.

Daniel and Hanni's engagement in Love is Blind: Germany

Episode 2 began with Daniel and Hanni meeting for the first time after their engagement, which had been shown at the end of episode 1. As the doors opened, both expressed their nervousness and excitement.

Hanni repeatedly exclaimed, “Oh my god,” while Daniel was equally overwhelmed, calling the moment “amazing.” The two embraced, exchanged compliments, and shared a kiss before Daniel surprised Hanni with his official proposal.

“Will you be my wife?” Daniel asked as Hanni responded with initial hesitation, saying, “I don’t know,” before joyfully confirming, “Yes, yes, yes.” Their exchange continued as Daniel sought assurance, to which Hanni reaffirmed,

“Yes, I am.”

The couple shared laughter and affection during that moment. Daniel expressed his happiness in a confessional, stating,

“I’ve already fallen in love with her personality, but then for the external to also be so great… She’s also a great kisser.”

Meanwhile, Hanni joked about losing her lipstick after their kiss, calling it “delicious.” Hanni’s excitement was evident as she shared her dreams of spending everyday moments with Daniel, from having coffee together to lying in bed and laughing.

What else happened in episode 2 of Love is Blind: Germany

Love is Blind: Germany episode 2 delved deeper into the connections forming between the participants. While Daniel and Hanni’s relationship progressed with their official engagement, other singles navigated their own journeys in the pods.

Tolga found himself torn between two strong connections—Hannah and Shila. While he appreciated Shila’s openness about her past and felt their bond deepening, his dates with Hannah brought a playful and equally promising spark. In his confessional, Tolga admitted,

“My connection with Shila is really up here… But right now, my connection with Hannah is feeling really deep.”

Another significant moment in Love is Blind: Germany involved Ilias and Alina. After initially sharing a vulnerable moment during a card reading, Ilias opened up about his past mistakes, including infidelity, at the age of 19.

While Alina needed time to process this disclosure, she decided to give him a chance during their next date. Ilias expressed his feelings, leading to another proposal and a joyful “yes” from Alina.

Marcel and Jen also had a standout connection in episode 2. The two bonded over their shared desire for a meaningful relationship built on acceptance and small gestures. Marcel nervously proposed to Jen, expressing his hopes for a “beautiful, healthy relationship” and a future together. Jen enthusiastically accepted, celebrating her engagement with the other participants. Marcel stated,

“It’s so much feeling and so much that I’ve never felt before. It’s new territory for me.”

Meanwhile, Shella built connections with three men in the pods. She shared meaningful conversations with Pascal, discussing family and future plans. However, when Pascal expressed his hesitation to propose too soon, Shella found his approach less reassuring.

Her connection with Fabio, based on vulnerability and emotional security, also faced complications as Alberta, another participant, revealed her interest in him.
