In Big Brother season 26's Thursday, September 26 episode, two houseguests were eliminated, and Leah Peters' eviction was a surprise since she and Makensy Manbeck were close allies. Initially, Makensy, as Head of Household, nominated Kimo Apaka and Angela Murray. However, after winning the Power of Veto, she replaced Kimo with Leah. This decision was influenced by Chelsie, who believed Leah was plotting against her and Makensy.
In an exclusive interview with US Weekly on September 27, 2024, the Big Brother contestant discussed her eviction, talked about her friendship with Makensy and her connection with Quinn Martin. As fans already know, Leah confessed to having a crush on Martin during the September 12 episode. Referring to her bond with Martin, Leah stated she was "willing to keep an open mind," she said:
“I’m willing to keep an open mind [and] see where things go. But overall, I would like to keep him in my life as long as possible, because he and his relationship mean a lot to me.”

Big Brother contestant Leah shared she had missed Quinn after his eviction. When she was asked if fans could expect a possible showmance in the jury house, Leah shared she "really had no idea." But she mentioned that they both would be “always going to be very close" with each other. Leah continued:
“I definitely missed him since he’s been gone. I think that he’s just a phenomenal person.”
Fans might remember Quinn's reaction to Leah's win in the power of veto competition. He encouraged her to stay positive in the game and praised her qualities of being a kind-hearted and funny person. Describing Leah, Quinn said she was a "sensational" individual.
Later in the interview, the Big Brother star reflected on Makensy's decision. Leah clarified that she had no intention of targeting Makensy and the rumors around the house influenced her decision in the end. She elaborated:
“I was never considering putting MJ up. I would never have risked our relationship and I honestly wanted to protect her and keep her in the game.”
Leah questioned why Chelsie wasn't seen as a bigger threat. She explained that Chelsie could win if the other houseguests didn't evict her soon. Leah regretted not targeting Chelsie when she was Head of Household but wasn't sure if it was the right time. If Chelsie had avoided eviction, Leah felt she might have been voted out even earlier.
Leah explained:
“She knows Big Brother like the back of her hand, and I think that whoever isn’t targeting her is playing for second place. I don’t know why everyone is not targeting Chelsie. I think she is such a threat in the game. I do think that people need to keep their eyes open and consider her [as] an option [for eviction] unless they would like to lose the game.”
