The Circle season 7 episode 12 was the last episode before the finale, and the show hosted its final game; an award show. Titled "Its Giving Awards", the contestants had to nominate their cast mates for each category. The player with the most votes was handed the award.
The final category of the award show was "Giving Circle Winner". Winning this award would bode well for a contestant and would have shown that they were the top contender in the show. However, The Circle is a game of strategy, and the winner of the award would look like a threat and other players would try to remove them from the show.
Everyone knew what winning this award meant. Kevin said that it was a "sketchy award to win". Tierra felt that the award would put "all eyes" on the person and the winner would "tank their game".
Rachel received the award for the "Giving Circle Winner" category and instantly attracted all of her cast mates' attention. She did like to see her name beside the title and implied that it would affect her game before the rankings. All the other contestants were relieved that they did not receive the title.
Tierra was delighted that Rachel got the "Giving Circle Winner" award and reacted:
"Rachel girl! You got the biggest target on that back."
The Circle's It's Giving Awards
Its Giving Awards game gave contestants the final chance to cement their stand in the game. The ranking for the Secret Super Influencer was scheduled at the end of The Circle season 7 episode 12, and the results of the "It's Giving Awards" game could have impacted the rankings. Host Michelle Buteau explained:
"In 'It's Giving Awards', they'll be given a number of categories ...Each player will then anonymously vote for who they think should win the category. The Circle will then reveal the results for all to see, judge, and fight over."
The first category of the award ceremony was 'Giving Lucky'. Gianna and Kevin believed that they should pick Tierra for the spot because she was still in the show despite playing a "messy" game.
Kevin voted for Tierra, Jadejha voted for Gianna, and Madelyn, Rachel, and Tierra voted for Kevin. With the most votes, the award for the 'Giving Lucky' category went to Kevin.
The next category in The Circle season 7 challenge was for the 'Giving Realness' award. Rachel felt that Gianna was the "real one" but wondered if her fellow cast members thought the same.
Madelyn was confused about picking between Gianna and Kevin because she thought the two had her back the most out of anybody in the game. Gianna voted for Rachel, Kevin voted for Madelyn, and Tierra voted for Jadejha. The award for the category went to Gianna. Nicky and Jojo behind Gianna's profile were pleased with the outcome and said:
"It's another notch on the belt of Gianna. But the notch on the belt is turning into a red dot sight, because we just keep ... we keep doing everything right, it seems, and people are gonna be like, "Holy sh*t. She's too powerful."
'Giving Loyal' was the third category of the award show and all season 7 cast members had to pick their top alliances. Gianna's vote went straight to Rachel as she felt that Rachel was loyal to her from the start. Madelyn and Kevin voted for each other to show their confidence in their alliance.
Rachel and Gianna received the same number of votes and were awarded the 'Giving Loyal' title. Gianna went on to win the next award and was given the title of "Giving Mani", alongside Jadejha.
