"You got nothing in court" — The Circle star Nicky calls out Andy after Disruptor twist

Netflix's social media competition series The Circle returned with a new season on Wednesday, September 11, 2024. With $100,000 on the line, the contestants looked forward to presenting their best foot forward, vying to walk away with the winner's title and the grand prize.

They could choose to play the game as themselves or participate as a complete imposter, hiding behind the guise of another person. Since they could not physically see each other and could only connect via chat, the contestants had the leeway to strategize their way through the game by spewing lies that benefitted their gameplay. They were safe as long as the others were convinced of their lies.

In episode 2, The Circle influencers Heather, catfishing as Andy, and Savannah, playing as herself, blocked Nicky and Jojo, who were catfishing as Gianna. However, their decision was overturned when Gianna, who had earlier opted for the Disruption, was granted immunity.

"What could you do, Andy? Nothing. You got nothing in court. You got nothing in The Circle," Nicky said.

Earlier it was revealed that the contestants could activate The Disruption Mode, which could either grant them a huge advantage or sabotage their game by throwing a disadvantage in their way. While everyone else decided not to avail of the option, fearing a negative outcome, Nicky and Jojo accepted it, expecting something fruitful.

Savannah and Heather were the two top-rated contestants in episode 1. As a result, they became the first influencers of the season and earned the power to block one contestant, ending their journey on the show. Together they analyzed their options, immediately taking Darian, Deb, catfishing as Rachel, and Kevin, off the chopping block.

They were left with two options in the end, Jadejha and Gianna. While they deliberated their choices, Nicky and Jojo, aka Gianna, selected to activate the Disruptor Mode.

"I'll take the risk of being the disruptor than risking our fate in this game, in The Circle right now, through the hands of Savannah and Andy," Jojo said.

In the meantime, Andy and Savannah decided to block Gianna because they had the least interaction with her. Andy volunteered to deliver the news and let Savannah, "the 22-year-old blonde girl" feel secure. The cast member declared their decision to block Gianna and justified it by stating they could not form a trustworthy bond with her.

While the others rejoiced, Nicky and Jojo disagreed with the outcome. Soon, the contestants were given another alert where they were informed that Gianna chose to activate the Disruptor Mode, and as a result, was granted an advantage.

"The disruptor is immune from tonight's blocking," The Circle said.

It further stated that no player would get blocked for the night. While the influencers feared they had painted themselves as targets before the other contestants, Nicky and Jojo jumped excitedly. Savannah stated that Gianna would hate them for trying to evict her.

Nicky and Jojo mentioned that if they became influencers in the future, they would use the power to attack Andy and Savannah for trying to backdoor them.

"Youse are clipped," Jojo said.

The twins agreed to target Savannah and Andy as the game progressed. While speaking to each other, they warned the influencers to "get some quality shut-eye" because they could get "screwed" the next day.
