Love is Blind season 7 aired two new episodes this week on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. Episodes 10 and 11 documented the remaining couples' journeys as the wedding date approached.
Episode 10, titled The Text From An Ex, saw Garrett and Taylor at odds. The male participant informed his fiancée that he received a text message from an ex-girlfriend. At the time, Garrett said he only liked the Instagram message. Just as they were about to enter the group event, Taylor told him that if women from his past ever got in touch with him, he should tell them he was engaged.
She said she didn't want him to leave them on unread or "even worse, "like" something." Garret replied, saying he understood and explained he didn't know how to react and liked the message and didn't think about it the rest of the day.
Later in the episode, while in conversation with Taylor, Tyler, and Ashley, Garrett revealed he had replied to the message, which upset Taylor. She walked away from the conversation in tears and later questioned him about being dishonest. She told him she was "livid."
"You lied again," she said.
Garrett said he didn't like it, and Taylor recalled him telling her that he ignored the message and contradicted himself in front of other people when he said he responded.
"Those are facts" — Taylor criticizes Garrett for lying in Love is Blind season 7 episode 10
In Love is Blind season 7 episode 10, Garrett tells Ashley and Tyler that his ex-girlfriend of 6-and-a-half years ago texted him the previous night and he responded. Tyler asked if he said anything back, and Garrett said he "just liked it." Confused by the various statements, Garrett's partner, Taylor, asked him if he responded to the text messages.
As he explained himself, Taylor said it was "different." She asked to see his phone, and the Love is Blind season 7 cast member said it was elsewhere, but he could get it for her.
"So, I texted her back, and like, just said, "Hey, I didn't tell you this, but I met someone. I'm engaged." and basically, "I don't think we should continue sending messages. And I hope you have a great life. See you later." Something like that," Garrett said.
Taylor said that Garrett told her an hour ago that he had only liked the message. She said he was telling everyone he responded to the ex-girlfriend's message. She said she wanted to be "very clear" on what happened. Garrett said he wrote a response, but Taylor said that wasn't what he told her an hour ago. She walked away in tears from the conversation and confronted him later in the episode.
While leaving the party, the Love is Blind season 7 male cast member said he felt Taylor was upset with him, and she told him she was "livid" that he lied. Garrett explained that he didn't remember what he said and that they hadn't revisited what he had said.
Taylor reminded the Love is Blind season 7 reality star that they discussed it before entering the party. She recalled telling him that she thought it was weird that he liked it and "left ambiguity." Garrett said he didn't think to tell her about the conversation "word to word."
"I will get past you not fully thinking about this, but then the fact that your story completely changed in front of other people, how is that not upsetting?" Taylor asked.
Garrett said Taylor said there was a difference between liking a message and responding with words. He added that he didn't think there was a difference and apologized for missing that detail.
"Those are facts. Those are not details. I wanna be very f*cking clear. Those are facts versus details," she said.
The female participant reminded him that she said she would only introduce Garrett to her family if she was "200%" sure about him. She added that she didn't feel that way and wondered if they should continue their relationship.
Love is Blind season 7's episodes 1 to 11 are available to stream on Netflix.
