Episode 10 of the ongoing 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 6 was released on Monday, September 2. It documented a new day in Dempsey Wilkinson and Statler Riley's life, where they woke up in their van, held a sale of second-hand items, and talked about their finances.
Statler alleged they both had to find substantial work to pay for their van life. However, Dempsey said she didn't care about working. Statler also said that even when she was the one to pay for the car, it was in Dempsey's name, which was worrisome to her.
Then when she found out Dempsey had money from the sale of her car, she was even angrier. The former had kept the money away and not contributed to making the van-life expenses.

Fans of 90 Day Fiancé have taken to X to criticize the drama and its specifics. While some are with Dempsey, others are on Statler's side.
"Statler you took out a loan and provided all that money for a van and your name is not even on it. Yea you're a fool," a fan said.
"Statler and Dempsey are not on the same page when it comes to the van or finances. Seems like Statler agreed to everything now has forgotten. Both women should be working and not Statler paying for everything," said another.
"Dempsey must’ve really put it on Statler, girl sold her shit took out a loan and moved across the world to live in a van with an unemployed drifter," a third fan said.
"I was just going to suggest a make shift Will when D mentioned signing something regarding the van. Statler is taking all the fun out of this trip!" another fan wrote.
Many other 90 Day Fiancé fans sided with Statler and called out Dempsey for not aiding with the finances of their living.
"Dempsey had the money all along but didn't offer any of it to help pay for the van. She just called Statler & said she needed the money from her. This seems like a scam to me," an X user wrote.

Demsey and Statler's discussion about their finances isn't new for 90 Day Fiancé fans. The duo has fought about it even in the past. While she sold off some of her belongings to contribute to the van, she wasn't contributing to their daily expenses.
She also wasn't getting a job because Statler was taking care of things. After a point on 90 Day Fiancé though, this started bothering Statler because she expected Dempsey to contribute. She was willing to work remotely so she could help pay, while Dempsey was happy to just do daily chores and not work.
Statler's friends were documented as being worried about Dempsey's intentions. They said that Statler was someone who needed love, she was grateful someone wanted to move in with her, so she did everything at the cost of money.
