Love is Blind UK premiered on Netflix with episodes 1 to 4 on Wednesday, August 7, 2024. During the segment, the audience was introduced to a brand-new group of singles as they got to know each other better in the British version of the popular Netflix social experiment.
As the cast interacted with one another in the pods, Steven and Sabrina found themselves attracted to one another quickly. Before the episode 1 ended, Steven popped the question and asked the female cast member if she would marry him. While the episode ended on a cliffhanger, Steven got his answer in episode 2 as Sabrina said yes to his proposal.
After Sabrina stated she wanted to marry the Netflix star, Steven said:

"That was the longest 'Yes' ever by the way. I was on my knee for quite a long time there."
He later added:
"It's okay, I got the Yes. I have no doubt in my mind that you're the one."
Steven's proposal to Sabrina included a poem in Love is Blind UK
In Love is Blind UK episode 1, after expressing how sure he was about wanting Sabrina as his partner, Steven made his way to the pods and asked Sabrina to open the "little white thing" next to her and read it. It had a poem stating that Sabrina stole Steven's "mind" and his "heart."
The Love is Blind UK cast member informed her that it was the start of the poem he wrote for her and recited the remaining poem himself. As he stood up, he told her to "bear" with her since there would be a few pauses.
"Can I say something crazy? I love you. Can I take your hand as I take a knee? And ask you something crazy. Will you marry me?" Steven said.
Sabrina got emotional and started tearing up. She told Steven she didn't know where to start but told him he was "genuinely incredible." Recalling their time in the pods, she said "it had been "an incredible journey" and was grateful to have been part of it with him.
"But this has been a short, whirlwind journey. This process is just insane. But like, I've not had one single doubt with you. I just know that we're gonna bring out the best in each other. And I can't wait for the next chapter," Sabrina added.
The Love is Blind UK male cast member was relieved by the answer but joked that Sabrina took a long time to answer. The latter noted she should have led with the "yes".
She added that it was hard for her to convey her emotions and that it was important for Steven to hear what was in her heart as well. When Steven told her that he was sure she was "the one," Sabrina stated she had "so much calmness" in her heart because she knew he was her "person."
"Oh, I love you. I wish I could hug you so much," Steven said.
Sabrina also told the Love is Blind UK cast member she loved him. After leaving the pods, the two shared how they felt after the proposal while in their respective confessionals. The female cast member stated that Steven had been her "number one" and that he was now her fiancé. She added it was "surreal."
Sabrina returned to the women's chambers and told everyone she was "going to be a wifey" as the rest of the female cast gathered around her and cheered.
"I've got my life partner. I feel more complete than I ever have done. I'm honestly on top of the world," Steven said in a confessional.
