What happened in Young, Famous & African season 3 episode 2?
Fantana and Luis clash at group lunch
After Annie stormed out of the group lunch, Nadia and Kefilwe were later joined by Luis Munana, who was immediately asked about the status of his love life. Luis clarified that he was single and explained that the woman he brought to Zari's wedding was simply a close female friend.
In his confessional, 30-year-old Luis revealed his interest in getting to know 34-year-old Kefilwe, despite her preference for not dating younger men.
"Kefi sounds like she's somebody that I could either really, really settle down with, or date. So I'm not going to step down easily as yet," the Young, Famous & African star added in his confessional.
Fantana, Khanyi Mbau, Zari, and Shakib joined their fellow Young, Famous & African cast members for lunch. During the meal, Zari revealed to Kefilwe that her husband, Shakib, had heard from Luis that he had a liking for her.
This prompted Luis' former partner Fantana to ask what he liked in a woman as she noticed that he liked everyone around him.
"Luis, like, Monday, you're in a relationship. Tuesday, you don't know what you're doing. Thursday, you're dating Zari's friend. Friday, you have a crush on Fantana. Like, it doesn't make sense. Like, what are you doing?" she added in his confessional.
Luis later confronted Fantana about her comment, pointing out that she had also shown interest in several men following their split.
Annie and Kefilwe talk about Zari and Nadia
Later in episode 2 of Young, Famous & African season 3, Kefilwe invited Annie to her home, feeling a strong connection with her after their initial conversation. In her confessional, Kefilwe shared her belief that their fellow cast members often misunderstood Annie.
During their conversation, Kefilwe reflected on the earlier group lunch and told Annie she was unnecessarily trying to start a conflict with her.
"Zari strikes me as a person who likes to evoke drama. You know, back in high school there's always that girl who just likes attention," Kefilwe added in her confessional.
Annie then opened up about her clash with Nadia, telling Kefilwe she felt sympathy for her former friend. She explained that even if Nadia wanted to argue with her, she chose not to engage, knowing that Nadia was going through a difficult time.
"[Nadia] finally found love and she lost it so quick. She is mourning. The trolls are not making it easy on her. She must be mad at the world as it is. So there's a lot Nadia is going through, by herself," Annie added in her confessional.
Zari confronts Annie at Kayleigh's event
At the end of the episode, the Young, Famous & African cast gathered for Kayleigh's event.
Kayleigh shared in her confessional that she was around her friends for some time so she decided to invite them or a "Diamond and Pearls" event. While she noted that she wanted a "peaceful evening" without any drama or confrontation, her fellow cast members had different things in mind.
Zari confronted Annie about her comment regarding her husband being much younger than her. She told her castmate that she had no right to comment on her marriage, especially given the allegations that Annie's husband was cheating on her with multiple women.
Young, Famous & African season 3 episodes 1-8 are available on Netflix.
