Young, Famous & African premiered its third season on January 17, 2025. The cast navigated interpersonal and professional conflicts, while Zari began a new chapter in her life by marrying Shakib. In episode 4, titled Who Rules the Jungle? Zari and Shakib's relationship hit a rough patch after Shakib heard Zari wanted another child with her ex-partner Diamond through surrogacy.
Although Zari assured Shakib she had no such intentions, he struggled to believe her. During his confrontation with Diamond, Shakib concluded that it might have been a miscommunication, however, Diamond claimed Zari was lying.
Later, Swanky invited Nigerian actress, Ini Edo to meet the cast but her meeting turned tense after Nadia asked questions about her marital life. Meanwhile, Fantana reflected on her "situationship" with Diamond, disclosing that she might be pregnant with his child. While Diamond assured Fantana he was prepared for the baby, Fantana's friend, Nadia suspected his intentions with her.

What happened in Young, Famous & African season 3 episode 4?
The opening scenes of episode 4 showcased Fantana telling Nadia that she could be pregnant with Diamond's child. Nadia's concerns heightened when she revealed she still had not conveyed the news to Diamond. Regardless, Nadia assured the Young, Famous & African star that everything would eventually get sorted out.
When Fantana asked Nadia if she was alright, she confessed she still struggled to accept her partner, Kiernan "AKA" Forbes' death. Nadia admitted she needed therapy but feared it would overwhelm her. Hence, she kept delaying it, refusing to confront her feelings. Shortly after, Khanyi arrived to check on Nadia, surprising the latter.
"So it just felt like I needed to get onto a plane, and go see for myself if she's really okay," Khanyi said.
Nadia got emotional upon seeing the Young, Famous & African star, whom she had not met since AKA's passing. Khanyi encouraged Nadia to face her feelings and forgo AKA's memories to overcome her sadness. While speaking to the cameras, Nadia expressed that she would now try to live her life without thinking about harming herself.
Elsewhere, Shakib confronted Zari about wanting a child through surrogacy with Diamond. Zari reassured Shakib that she had not asked Diamond for another child, convinced that Diamond had misled Shakib. However, despite Zari's reassurances, Shakib struggled to dispel his doubts.
"So, it's either Shakib is going to believe me, or he's going to believe what Diamond is saying because Diamond will say whatever it is, using his emotional intelligence. He could actually be playing us," Zari said
Shakib landed in another challenging situation later in the episode when Luis hugged Zari inappropriately in front of him. Although Luis defended himself by saying it was how he hugged everybody, Shakib remained unconvinced and suspected Luis' intentions with his wife. Luis was disappointed to see how little Shakib trusted him.
The next day, the Young, Famous & African cast members went on a safari that Luis had organized. However, the mood quickly turned tense after Zari asked Kefilwe to detail the "story" behind her separation from her husband.
"There's Zari, looking for an 'Oprah' moment to find something to talk about out of my situation," Kefilwe said.
When Zari insisted, Kefilwe revealed that she met her partner at a club while he was looking for a second wife. When Zari questioned Kefilwe's decision to stand in "second position," she explained that she wanted to try "something different." Regardless, Zari continued to inquire about their relationship, noting how Kefilwe wore a ring in her photoshoots to show her followers that she was married.
Elsewhere, Fantana told Luis and Shakib that she might be pregnant with Diamond's child. After hearing that, Shakib warned her about Diamond's intentions, suggesting that he was not serious about their relationship. The Young, Famous & African star advised her not to fall for Diamond's words.
After returning home from the safari, Nadia met with Diamond and confronted him about his intentions with Fantana. Diamond revealed that he had several "situationships," and that his relationship with Fantana was not serious. He added that he and Fantana had a "memorandum of understanding" where each agreed not to confine themselves to one another.
"There's no strings attached. So I'm not misleading Fantana," the Young, Famous & African star explained.
Later in the Young, Famous & African episode, Nigerian filmmaker and actress Ini Edo arrived to meet with Swanky. The two discussed Swanky's dynamics with Annie, while Ini Edo expressed excitement about meeting the rest of the cast members.
Meanwhile, Fantana caught up with Diamond and told him she might be pregnant. Contrary to her expectations, Diamond responded excitedly, wondering when they could have a baby shower. While Diamond said he was ready to father a child, Fantana remained unconvinced.
"Diamond is saying all these sweet things to me but I'm just pretending to be dumb because at the end of the day if I am pregnant, I need Diamond in my life," she stated.
Later, the cast members attended a party hosted by Diamond, where Swanky's special guest, Ini, was also present. The party's mood changed after Nadia inquired Ini about her children and their father's whereabouts. Ini disclosed that she had a daughter, whom she welcomed through surrogacy.
When the topic of surrogacy was brought up, Shakib asked Diamond for a private conversation. Later, he invited Zari to join them as he wanted to know the truth about her chat with Diamond. Zari explained that although she wanted another child, she never said it had to be Diamond's. However, Diamond disagreed, wondering why she was not being honest.
Tensions reached a boiling point when Nadia questioned Diamond about kissing another woman, hoping Fantana would recognize his true intentions. Before Fantana could suspect Diamond, he told her it was for one of his music videos, causing Nadia to storm out of the party.
