10 mysteries that need to be answered in FROM season 4, before fans hit their breaking point

A sci-fi horror show, From season 4 recently got renewed. Created by John Griffin, it stars Harold Perrineau, Elizabeth Saunders, and others. The show has become famous for its interesting premise that revolves around a town where people get stuck and are unable to leave. The town’s people also have to stay safe from nocturnal entities by staying inside houses and carrying talismans.

The show has completed three seasons and it begins with the Matthews family arriving into the town and teaming up with Sheriff Boyd and other residents to uncover a way out. In its three seasons, the show has introduced a myriad number of mysteries that still need explanations, therefore baffling the viewers. Here’s a list of 10 major mysteries that need to be explored in From season 4.

The boy in white, the talismans, and other mysteries that need to be answered in From season 4

1) The true origins of the town

The show has many unanswered mysteries, but one that still boggles the mind of every viewer is that what are the origins of the town in From. Where is it exactly located and how it came to be? It gets even more confusing because people arrive here from various corners of the United States. This makes it difficult to pinpoint any exact location. Let’s hope that in From season 4, viewers finally get answers to this important question.

2) Who is the boy in white and what purpose does he serve

The boy in white is an unnamed and mysterious character in From. He only appears in front of selected characters like Ethan, Victor, and others. He only speaks in the season 2 finale, when he pushes Tabitha from the lighthouse and ends up rescuing her from the town’s trap. While audiences are unsure about his intentions, he has always helped people. For example, when he helps Boyd and Sara in the season 1 finale. Viewers are eagerly waiting for his mystery to be solved in From season 4.

3) Tabitha's bracelet

Each object in From has value. In season 1, Tabitha finds the bracelet she made for her husband Jim, which he had lost on the day their daughter was born. It is surprising that a bracelet lost almost twenty years ago, is found in the town. In season 3, Tabitha finds the same bracelet in Henry’s car and he states that his wife Miranda made it for him. While viewers wait for the mystery to be solved in From season 4, it seems that Tabitha and Miranda share a connection as both are selected to save the children from the tower and have visions.

4) The electricity mystery

Another mystery about the town is how and where it gets the electricity from. In season 1, we see that there is ample electricity that is used throughout the town but Tabitha and her family find out that the wires lead nowhere. Since nothing is coming from the outside, it must be that someone is creating things within the town. It would be interesting to note how this mystery is answered in From season 4.

5) Victor's mother

In season 2, Victor recalls that when he was a child, the monsters killed everyone except him. His mother, Miranda, hid him and his sister in a cellar. He found his mother dead the next morning at the faraway bottle tree. In season 3 episode 9, Victor finally remembers Christopher’s conversation with the Boy in White and as Tabitha consoles Victor, she begins to have visions. Tabitha learns that Miranda hid the kids and tried to follow the boy in white’s message but got killed by the smiley creature. These visions reveal that Miranda and Tabitha have a close connection and more could be explained in From season 4.

6) The terrifying nursery rhyme

The residents of the town not only deal with nocturnal monsters but also experience shared supernatural dreams and visions. Many characters hear the haunting nursery rhyme in their dream in season 2. Some people recognize it from their childhood but most of the people are scared of what it could mean. Each line from the rhyme seems to hint towards something and feels like a warning. More details about it need to be explored in From season 4.

7) The connection between the people - how their fates could be entwined

Ethan sees visions of the boy in white the same way Victor used to see them as a child. Miranda and Tabitha share a lot of similarities as both of them had a son and daughter, both made a similar bracelet for their husbands, and both have visions about saving the children in the lighthouse. Even their husbands, Henry and Jim seem to have a similar nature. In From season 4, it would be interesting if this aspect is explored.

8) The talisman

In season 1, it is made clear that the only things that stop the terrifying monsters from attacking the residents is the safety of their closed houses and the talisman that hangs on everybody’s door. However where did these talismans come from, who made them, and how did they know that this would stop the evil entities, is a question that viewers have not received an answer to. Sheriff Boyd finds them and encourages the townspeople to use them for their safety, but more details need to be uncovered in From season 4.

9) The faraway trees

The “faraway trees” is a name given by Victor and is one of the most important mysteries associated with the town. There are two such trees and they have holes in their trunks and bottles that hang from their branches with numbers written on paper inside. What the numbers mean is a mystery itself as Tabitha and Jade have tried to solve it without much success. Another mystery is that Miranda used to draw pictures of these trees even before getting stuck inside. One thing the trees do is act as portals and send different characters to different locations. It is hoped that From season 4, explores its origins, purpose, and meaning.

10) Nightmare or reality

A mystery that many viewers of the show From have thought is whether this whole instance of people finding themselves in an inescapable town with monsters is a lucid dream/nightmare or if it is actually real. There are many unanswered questions in the show and it feels like a nightmare. At the same time, some things point towards it being real, like Tabitha and Miranda’s unexplainable connection. In From season 4, these questions need to be answered.
