1) The former NFL quarterback was found dead in a rented condominium

Air McNair was allegedly found by one of his friends in a rented condominium in downtown Nashville on July 4, 2009, lying dead from multiple gunshot wounds.

The former superstar allegedly had two gunshot wounds on his body and two on his head. He was lying on the sofa, hinting that he had been murdered while he was asleep or resting.

A 20-year-old woman, who was later identified as Sahel "Jenni" Kazemi, was also lying dead next to McNair's body. She had a gunshot wound to her head. It was later determined by the police that she had shot McNair first and then herself. This was indicated by the gunpowder in her hand.

3) McNair and Kazemi perhaps shared a deeper bond than was evident to others

While some knew that Air McNair was linked to the 20-year-old Dave & Buster’s waitress, text message exchange between the two seemed to indicate that things were pretty serious between Kazemi and McNair, which is possibly also the motive behind the sportsman's death.

According to reports, McNair and Kazemi expressed their love for each other just the day before over text, and Kazemi also allegedly asked for money from McNair for some rent that was due.

Though there is no way of knowing exactly what went through Kazemi's head before she shot her boyfriend, investigators allege that it was perhaps because of jealousy after she found out that she wasn't the only woman McNair was talking to at the time.

While it appears to be an ordinary murder-suicide case, with the only exception being a famous victim, Vincent Hill, a private investigator, claimed that there was much more to this.

For instance, it was established that Kazemi had bought the gun from Adrian Gilliam, a convicted felon. When Gilliam was interrogated, he claimed to not remember Kazemi, but cellphone records tell a different story.

According to the cellphone records, Gilliam and Kazemi exchanged as many as 203 phone calls and text messages in the weeks leading to McNair's death. He also called her before she murdered McNair and herself, hinting at a bigger conspiracy than what meets the eye.
