Batman: Year One, Zero Year, and more to read if you enjoyed Batman: Caped Crusader
1) Batman: The Man Who Laughs

The prestige one-shot, written by Ed Brubaker and drawn by Doug Mahnke, tells the story of Batman's first encounter with the Joker. With Brubaker being a writer on the show as well, you might certainly find a shared DNA here, and it ranks among some of the best stories told about the two comic book characters.
2) Batman: The Long Halloween
One of the great things about Batman: Caped Crusader was how it brought so many of the Dark Knight's rogues on to the screen. Batman certainly has a very unique rogues gallery, and Batman: The Long Halloween by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale does a great job at showing that off.
The story follows Batman as he tries to track down the Holiday Killer in this year-long chase. With mob tensions rising as well, the comic presents a neat origin for Harvey Dent that fans of Batman: Caped Crusader will certainly like seeing as well.
3) Batman: Dark Victory

5) Batman: Year One
Frank Miller is one of the most influential writers ever to tackle Batman. While the Caped Crusader's origins have been tackled in many ways over the years, Batman: Year One still remains the top story when it comes to the character's early days.
