The tragic death of Larry Isenberg in the Coeur d'Alene area of Idaho brought forth an investigation that revealed a more sinister plot behind the incident. Larry had been poisoned with fatal amounts of Benadryl and possibly thrown into the Lake by his wife Lori Isenberg.

1) Larry Isenberg was reported to have fallen into the Lake Coeur d’Alene on February 13, 2018
According to NBC News, Larry Isenberg disappeared on February 13, 2018, after he allegedly fell into the Lake Coeur d’Alene in Powderhorn. He was allegedly taking a look at a nonfunctional motor when he fell, the Kootenai County Sheriff's Office mentioned in their preliminary press statement on Facebook.
Larry and Lori Isenberg were married in 2004 and the couple shared a loving relationship, as confirmed by their close ones. The couple had reportedly taken out a boat to the Sun-Up Bay to watch the sunrise.
2) Larry's wife, Lori, had allegedly dialed 911 two hours after the incident
The 911 call to the police from Larry's wife, Lori Isenberg, came after two hours of the incident and from his phone itself. She allegedly spent some time searching for him but to no avail.
According to The Spokesman-Review, Lori mentioned to the detectives that she had left her phone behind but was surprised to find Larry's phone on the boat. She had allegedly assumed that his cell phone had fallen into the water with him. She made the 911 call from his phone so that she could stay in the area where he could be rescued.
3) Larry Isenberg's body was found floating in the Lake waters on March 1
According to Oxygen, Larry Isenberg's body floated up to the surface and was spotted in the Sun Up Bay water face down on March 1. Despite multiple searches by rescue teams, he was not found in the Lake. The CBS affiliate KREM reported that a resident from the Sun Up Bay near Worley, Idaho area called 911 to report the sighting.
A dive team subsequently recovered the body and the Kootenai County Coroner's Office positively identified it as Larry Isenberg.
4) The coroner's office determined that Larry had suffered from acute levels of diphenhydramine toxicity
While the identification came along and the investigation began, the autopsy reports which came in weeks later, made a shocking revelation. Larry showed no signs of drowning. Instead, his body contained toxic levels of diphenhydramine, a common ingredient in antihistamines and over-the-counter medications such as Benadryl.
According to Coeur d'Alene Press, Larry's body contained 7,100 nanograms of diphenhydramine which is 70 times more than the allowable levels in the body.
5) Lori Isenberg was charged with Larry's murder and convicted of the charges
The upcoming episode 9 of Season 4 of Dateline: Unforgettable brings the investigation of Isenberg's murder and the subsequent conviction of Lori Isenberg. She was charged with 40 counts of forgery and one count of grand theft for embezzlement from North Idaho Housing Coalition.
Per Coeur d'Alene Press, she disappeared for two months before she turned herself in. After that, she was charged with the murder of Larry Isenberg in February 2020 as investigators found evidence of internet searches regarding boating accidents and water depths.
She took the Alford plea and pleaded guilty to second-degree murder for which she was sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole after 30 years, per The Spokesman-Review.
