While the series offers a deeper look at Dahmer's victims, it also focuses on one survivor who escaped and played a crucial role in his eventual arrest. It all began when Tracy Edwards was approached by Dahmer to come to his apartment, which Edwards obliged to.

Some instances played out before Edwards found the apartment to be odd with weird objects and foul smell emanating. With Dahmer trying to handcuff and use a knife on him, Edwards decided to escape. And when the moment was right, Edwards punched him in the face and ran out the front door.

Edwards quickly flagged down two Milwaukee police officers, leading them to Dahmer's apartment, where they discovered shocking evidence.
