Arcane, Attack on Titan, and 5 other shows to watch before the release of What If...? season 3
1) Arcane

Christian Linke and Alex Yee are the creators of the adult animated steampunk action-adventure television series Arcane, which is titled Arcane: League of Legends on screen.
It is mostly about the sisters Vi and Jinx and is set in Riot's League of Legends universe. Sisters Vi and Powder (also known as Jinx) become entangled in a growing fight over divergent ideologies and mysterious technologies amid the growing turmoil between the shady, repressed underbelly of Zaun and the wealthy, utopian city of Piltover.
Arcane focuses on how important decisions impact the lives of its characters and their universe, while What If...? depicts multiple timelines inside the Marvel Universe. Both shows examine alternate realities and the effects of certain decisions.
Where to watch: Netflix
2) Attack on Titan
Hajime Isayama's manga series of the same name served as the inspiration for the Japanese dark fantasy anime television series Attack on Titan.
The show centers on Eren Yeager and his companions Mikasa Ackerman and Armin Arlert in a post-apocalyptic world where the remnants of humanity reside behind walls shielding them from enormous humanoid Titans.
Titans eat Eren's mother and destroy the city when a Colossal Titan penetrates their hometown's wall. Eren swears revenge and joins the elite Survey Corps, a fighting organization that battles Titans. It follows Eren's journey with the Survey Corps as they combat the Titans and discover more about their origins and history.
Both What If...? and Attack on Titan explore unexpected twists and alternate outcomes, keeping viewers engaged with unpredictable plot developments and surprises.

3) Invincible

Based on the Image Comics comic book series of the same name, which he co-developed with Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley, Robert Kirkman produced the adult animated superhero show Invincible.
The show follows young Mark Grayson as he evolves into a superhero under the mentorship of his father, Omni-Man, the world's most powerful hero.
Throughout his metamorphosis, Mark tries to reconcile his personal life with his superhuman obligations. He must show that he can be the hero his father is, despite being oblivious of the evil conspiracy that threatens the world. This will make him ponder what his actual role is.
The examination of the intricacies of heroism is one way where What If...? and Invincible are similar. While the former frequently questions conventional ideas of good and evil, the latter explores the darker side of superheroism, especially through Omni-Man's morally dubious deeds.

4) Bleach

Tite Kubo's original manga work of the same name inspired the Japanese anime television series Bleach.
The story revolves around Ichigo Kurosaki, who receives the abilities of a Soul Reaper—a death personification similar to the Grim Reaper—from another Soul Reaper, Rukia Kuchiki.
Due to his newly acquired skills, he is obliged to take on the responsibility of guarding humans from evil spirits and guiding deceased souls on their trip to the afterlife.
Later, Ichigo encounters additional difficulties, including the Fullbringer gang Xcution. Ichigo fights against the immortal Bount, the vindictive Soul Reaper Amagai, the rebellious Zanpakutō spirits, and an adversary who makes altered Soul Reapers in addition to anime-only storylines.
Bleach and What If...? are similar in that they both focus on changes. Characters in Bleach, like Ichigo, experience physical and spiritual changes as they become more powerful in battle, while characters in What If...? frequently experience major alterations in parallel universes.

5) Harley Quinn

Harley Quinn is an adult animated dark comedic superhero series based on the DC Comics character created by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm.
After breaking up with the Joker, Harley Quinn begins a voyage of self-discovery, with the goal of establishing her own criminal empire in Gotham. Harley builds confidence, overcomes her history, and establishes her own identity with the assistance of her squad.
She and Ivy eventually become a couple after going through love, mishaps, and personal development together as their bond grows. They come together to form a new crime-fighting squad called the Gotham City Sirens.
While other crew members like Clayface, King Shark, and Psycho follow their own aspirations, Harley and Ivy face their own changing objectives along the journey. Characters like the Joker, Batman, and Bane are the subject of stand-alone episodes in the series.
What If...? and Harley Quinn are comparable in that they both emphasize character development and self-discovery.

6) Star Wars: The Clone Wars

George Lucas is the creator of the American animated television series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. This work, which is a part of the Star Wars multimedia series, takes place mostly between the events of Attack of the Clones (2002) and Revenge of the Sith (2005).
Count Dooku commands the Separatists' droid armies against the Republic's clone army, which is led by Jedi Knights Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Yoda. Anakin's Padawan, Ahsoka Tano, and the clone Captain Rex also join the fight.
The Sith, led by Darth Sidious, secretly manipulates both sides to carry out a sinister plot. The trilogy follows the establishment of the Empire and Anakin's fall, including villains such as General Grievous, Asajj Ventress, and Darth Maul.
While the relationships between characters like Anakin, Obi-Wan, and Ahsoka are challenged and change as a result of the continuous war in The Clone Wars, characters' interactions and choices are changed across other universes in What If...?
