Created and directed by Mike Flanagan, The Haunting of Hill House, is a horror show that is based on a novel by Shirley Jackson. The first entry by Flanagan in his Netflix’s Haunting franchise, the series revolves around the Crain family and alternates between the present and the past.
On the one hand, the now-adult siblings of the family are traumatized by the paranormal incidents they experienced when younger, and on the other, the show goes into flashbacks detailing the said events. This show will make a great addition to a Halloween watchlist.
2) From - Amazon Prime Video
Created by John Griffin, From, is a science fiction horror show starring Harold Perrineau, David Alpay, and others. The show begins with a family taking a road trip and finding itself trapped inside a mysterious small town in America, from which there is no getting out.
The citizens who are already residing there, struggle to escape the unknown dangers of the town but try to find the hidden secrets and keep their fellow residents safe. The show has an extremely gripping storyline.
3) Archive 81 - Netflix
Starring Mamoudou Athie and Dina Shihabi, Archive 81, is a horror show based on a podcast of the same name. The show revolves around archivist Dan (Athie), who comes across a mysterious documentary footage and decides to restore it.
As he goes through the video, he encounters strange incidents that involve the missing director and a cult that was being documented. The show has a gripping atmosphere and was one of the most-watched series on Netflix when it was released. It is a must-watch modern horror show.
4) American Horror Story - Amazon Prime Video
Created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, American Horror Story, is a long running horror-show where each season focuses on one story. Many actors have graced the show including Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Jessica Lange, and even Kim Kardashian.
Some of the plots that have featured over the seasons include an expectant mother experiencing strange incidents and a young girl falling for a mysterious boy. The show plays on many of the classic horror tropes and offers campy thrills which will be perfect for a Halloween binge.

Based on a Stephen King novel, The Outsider is a psychological horror show starring Ben Mendelsohn, Bill Camp, and others. The show begins with the gruesome death of a child and the hasty arrest of a Little League Coach, Terry (Jason Bateman), who is deemed guilty.
But detective Ralph (Ben) and investigator Holly (Cynthia Erivo) begin to suspect a larger conspiracy that has supernatural origins. The show has received positive reviews for its atmosphere, acting, and brilliant use of slow-burn horror.
6) Unsolved Mysteries - Netflix
A reboot of the iconic mystery documentary series of the same name, which was hosted by Robert Stack, the modern Netflix docuseries, Unsolved Mysteries, is an engrossing show with the same nostalgic flavor.
The show uses documentary-style direction to highlight some of the most perplexing and mysterious incidents. From a whole family disappearing to people experiencing UFO sightings, the show discusses a new story in each episode. The show brings to light some of the most chilling cases known to man.
7) The Walking Dead - Netflix

The show has received considerable appreciation from critics and fans alike for its plot, direction, and commentary. Over the course of its seasons, it has brought inventive episodes that focus on the side effects of realistic video games, social media, and artificial intelligence.
