While the first part of the fourth season is out, there is still time for the second part to come. And if one wants to binge on some similar shows till that time, then here are eight shows to watch that give off the same charm as Emily in Paris.

Created by the same creator as Emily in Paris (EIP), this celebrated drama ruled the airwaves during its six-season run. Heavily a part of pop culture, S*x and the City (SATC), has given iconic characters like Carrie Bradshaw and Samantha Jones. The series has also won a number of accolades.

SATC was one of the inspirations behind EIP and that show, as both shows serve ample doses of feminine chic and have similar themes of women juggling careers, friendships, and love. So, those in love with Emily should definitely watch SATC.

Based on a novel by Stephanie Danler, Sweetbitter stars Ella Purnell and, much like Emily in Paris, has the same premise of a young girl shifting to a new city in search of herself. But unlike Emily, Tess (Purnell) has a job as a waitress in New York City and is soon enamored into the whirlwind world of drugs, drinking, fine dining, and love.

The show has more mature themes, but the overarching trope of finding oneself is always present. Tess soon finds her own set of friends and explores the city and culture of New York, just like Emily does in Paris.

The show has more serious themes than Emily in Paris, such as feminist commentary, body politics, and female sexuality.

But it is also about a group of friends navigating life in a big city while trying to juggle their careers and relationships. And it has the same chaotic and delusional energy as Emily. For those looking for a slightly mature take on girlhood while also retaining humor—this is a must-watch.
