Starring Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson, this comedy-drama is a must-watch for any dog lover. Based on a 2005 memoir by John Grogan, the movie features an adorable labrador retriever, Marley, who enters the lives of a couple and becomes an indispensable part of their journey.

The storyline spans over 14 years and the production used 22 dogs during filming. Marley & Me has both rib-tickling and tear-jerking moments that will ultimately make the viewer feel one with Marley and realize the importance of pets in one's life.

A unique and heart-warming watch, this 2017 movie is based on a 2010 novel and stars Dennis Quaid, and KJ Apa, including others. The film shows different incarnations of the same dog, Bailey, and how it creates bonds with its various owners.

The film is emotionally heavy, making the viewers experience strong sentiments. Moreover, it also has a satisfying finale. The movie explores themes of purpose, helping others, and living in the present. A Dog’s Purpose is a must-watch for all.

A remake of the 1963 movie of the same name, this 1993 version features the voices of Michael J. Fox, Sally Field, and Don Ameche. Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey revolves around the journey of three pets—Chance, Shadow, and Sassy—who decide to return to their owners, after a misunderstanding makes the pets think they have been abandoned.

Each animal has a different personality, which adds to the humor and depth of the film, and their chaotic adventures take place at different locations like the Sierra Nevada, forests, and even an animal shelter, making sure to make the viewers laugh.

Based on an unbelievably true story, Air Bud is a 1997 comedy film about a golden retriever, Buddy, who has the unique ability to play basketball. Rescued by a young boy, Josh, Buddy soon becomes a team member of Josh’s basketball team.

Interestingly, the real-life dog, Buddy, was cast in the film. The actual owner had trained him in other sports as well including football, baseball, and even chess. Sadly, Buddy passed away in 1997, but the legendary dog has left behind a legacy of film franchises and spin-off series.
