The film was slated to release on June 28, 2024. The film was initially scheduled to be released on November 17, 2023, but due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strikes, the film had to be postponed indefinitely.

Plot summary
A Family Affair mostly revolves around Zara (played by Joey King), who is described as a personal assistant to Chris Cole (Played by Zac Efron), a self-absorbed Hollywood star.
Everything was going great in Zara’s life until she stumbled upon a shocking revelation that her boss was secretly dating her mother, Brooke Harwood (Played by Nicole Kidman).
After the shocking revelation, Zara gets caught in a whirlwind of emotions. She also develops a fierce protectiveness over her, while facing this dilemma. Balancing her loyalty to her family with her loyalty to her job becomes increasingly challenging for Zara as she uncovers more layers of deception from both her boss and her mother
Zara is left with just two choices: either to reveal the affair in front of the whole world and risk everything or to keep this explosive secret to herself no matter how much it bothers her.
