Agatha All Along episode 4 ending explained: Is Teen actually Agatha's son?

Agatha All Along episode 4 was released on October 2, 2024, via Disney+, which further explored the journey of Agatha Harkness and her coven on the Witches Road.

In the newest episode, Alice faces challenges on the Road, which relates to her mother's death and a generational curse cast on the family. At the end of the episode, Teen has to be healed from an injury, getting Agatha worried, almost believing that he might be her lost son.

However, in an intimate moment, the coven's newest witch Rio tells Agatha that Teen is not her son. This ending leaves the audience in suspense about who Teen is, what happened to Agatha's son, and why Rio seems to know so much about it.

What is the story of Agatha's son in Agatha All Along?

At present, Agatha All Along has only revealed brief details about the witch's son and the story associated with him. The previous episodes have speculated that Agatha traded her baby to Mephisto for access to the Darkhold. Agatha also had a vision of a baby crying in a crib, immediately replaced underneath the blanket by the Darkhold.

In episode 4, it seems that Agatha might believe Teen is her lost son due to the Sigil spell on him which hides his identity. Teen even asks about her son and Agatha shuts off instantly. However, Rio tells Agatha that she is mistaken and Teen is not her son afterall.

What happens to Teen in Agatha All Along episode 4?

There are many theories regarding Teen's identity and episode 4 heightens the mystery. Teen gets injured while the coven is singing the Ballad to ward off Alice's family curse. He soldiers on and continues to play, but collapses after the song ends. The witches get him out and Jen heals him while Agatha watches tearfully.

Agatha's fear indicates that she now feels responsible for Teen and wants to protect him. Up till now, the show heavily indicated that Teen might be Agatha's child.

It might be possible that Rio is mistaken about what happened, and Teen might have a connection with Agatha. However, many also believe that Teen might be Wiccan a.k.a. Billy Kaplan, the reincarnated son of Wanda Maximoff. As Wanda is Agatha's primary rival, this might make the dynamic between the two characters more interesting to watch in the future.
