Sandland, and 7 other shows coming to Hulu this May
The month of May will see the platform launch some pretty promising Original shows and release new seasons of the existing shows.
1) Shardlake, May 1
The first series on this list is a four-part historical drama adapted from C.J. Sansom Tudor's murder mystery book series. The show will adapt the first book Dissolution in which two men are assigned to investigate the chilling murder by Thomas Cromwell. The show stars Arthur Hughes, Anthony Boyle, and Sean Bean in prominent roles.
2) Sandland, May 1
Based on the acclaimed work of the legendary Akira Toriyama, Sandland is a dystopian science-fiction animated series. It tells the story of a world where years of war and natural disasters have ravaged the water supply of the world.
The show is a typical Toriyama-style adventure comedy about good and evil. The last episode of the series will be released on Hulu on May 1, 2024.
3) Black Twitter: A People’s History, May 9
Black Twitter: A People's History, is a three-part docuseries, based on Jason Parham's article 'A People's History of Black Twitter'.

4) Past Lies, May 10
Past Lies is a powerful, Spanish-language thriller mini-series starring Elena Anaya, Belén Cuesta, Irene Escolar, and Marta Etura. The Hulu feature has an eminently female team in front of and behind the cameras.
This is the first series from director Clara Roquet, a powerful female thriller that reflects on the weight of guilt and how the friendship of a group of friends evolves over the years. The show will be released on May 10, 2024.
5) Uncle Samsik, May 15
Uncle Samsik is a South Korean period drama series, written and directed by Shin Yeon-shick, and starring Song Kang-ho, Byun Yo-han, Lee Kyu-Hyung, Jin Ki-Joo, and Seo Hyun-woo.
Set in 1960s South Korea, the series follows two men through their bromance and the obstacles they face during a turbulent time in the country's history.
6) Chief Detective 1958, May 22
A young detective, played by Lee Jee-Hoon, becomes furious at the reality of violating human dignity and teams up with his colleague detectives at the Jongnam Police Station in Seoul.
The South Korean show is a prequel to another famous show Chief Inspector, and the story unfolds ten years before the original series. Set in the 1950s to 1960s, the story follows Detective Park, and his colleagues in their quest to break down the absurdities of corrupt power with common sense and trickery.
7) The Kardashians, May 23
The Kardashian fans can rejoice, as the 5th season of the show is all set to release on May 23, 2024.
Just a few months after Season 4 wrapped up, The Kardashians is back for more action. Like the previous seasons, the famous family would keep the fans in the loop with their day-to-day lives of glitz, glamour, and drama.
8) Camden, May 29
Camden is a docuseries, produced by singer-songwriter Dua Lipa. The series explores the music scene of the London neighborhood of Camden.
Chris Martin, Pete Doherty, Mark Ronson, Questlove, Little Simz, Nile Rodgers, Boy George, Yungblud, Black Eyed Peas, Jazzie B, Bob Vylan, Chuck D, and Sister Bliss are all confirmed to feature in the series. The series will premiere on May 29, 2024.
