About American Murder: Laci Peterson
American Murder: Laci Peterson focuses on the disturbing disappearance and murder of Laci Peterson in 2002 which shocked the entire world. After months of searching for Laci following her disappearance, her body was found in April 2003.
Almost immediately after that, her husband Scott Peterson was taken into custody and after a year of hearing, he was put in prison.
The case against his involvement in Laci's death became more prominent after it was revealed that at the time of her death, Scott Peterson was having an affair with a massage therapist. It was also revealed that Peterson drove almost 90 miles from his home to Berkeley Marina for fishing on the day of the incident.
After these instances came to light, Scott Peterson was convicted of the murder of his wife and his unborn child. However, after so many years, he still maintains his innocence and alleges that the actual murderer is out in the open, leading a free life.
