A Simple Favor fame Andrew Rannells recently made an appearance at the 2024 Tony Awards held on June 16, 2024. It was during his red carpet appearance at the Tony Awards that Andrew announced he wouldn't be partaking in the Broadway production of the musical, Tammy Faye.

During an interview with CBS on the red carpet, Andrew Rannells revealed that while he was excited about Tammy Faye initially, he has decided not to be part of it.

Stating that he is a "huge fan of the show", the Girls actor told CBS:

"Unfortunately, we got into a situation where we couldn't quite find terms that made everyone happy, which is really disappointing, which is why normally they don't announce an actor before the contract."

He also added that even though he's not a Broadway professional, he thought it was odd to announce his name beforehand.
